ohn was born about 1745 in Henrico County, VA and died about 1841 in Davie County, NC. Estate records dated February, 1842 have helped in identifying his children and determining his probable date of death. He is thought to have married ca 1785 probably in Surry Co, NC Prudence RIDINGS. His children were:

3 - Elizabeth/Betsy b. 1791, d. aft. 1850; m. Henry Atchison GARNER May 26, 1810. Bondsman was Jesse Reavis, probably her uncle.
She is found on the 1850 Davie Co, NC census as head of the household, age 59, with son Burgess, age 20, his wife Irena (Horn) and son Benjamin age 8 months.
