I, L. E. Pridgen, being of sound and disposing mind, do make, declare and publish this my last will and testament.

Item 1.As soon as practicable after my death, it is my will and desire that my executor hereinafter named, shall take into his possessiion all of my estate, and reduce the same to cash, except that part of my realty situate in Greene county and hereinafter disposed of in my will.

Item 2. After paying all my just debts, my said executor shall pay to my wife, Elyen Pridgen, One Thousand ($1,000)dollars in full in cash.

Item 3. In addition to said one thousand dollars, I give, bequeath and devise to my said wife, Elyen Pridgen, all of my real estate in said Greene County, North Carolina during the term of her natural life, and after her death, in fee share and share alike to all my neices and nephews (not my wife's neices and nephews) under twelve (12) years of age at the time of the death of my said wife. In the event that there are no such neices or nephews as above named, then and in that event, I give and devise said real estate, in equal porportions, to the Orphan Home of the Odd Fellows, located at Goldsboro; to the Oxford Orphan Asylum, located at Oxford and to the Methodist Orphan Asylum, located at Raleigh.

Item lV. I give, bequeath and devise, subject to the preceding bequests and devises, to the Orphan Home of the Odd Fellows, located at Goldsboro, to the Oxford Orphan Asylum, located at Oxford and to the Methodist Asylum, located at Raleigh, all the rest and residue of my estate, in fee forever, in equal proportions.

Item V. I nominate and appoint William T. Dortch Executor to this my last will and testament.

In Witness whereof, I hereunto set my hand and seal, this 8th day of December, 1906, in the presence of M. E. Giddens and F. A. Daniels, who sign the same in my presence, and at my request as subscribing witnesses thereto.
