Winterville: Mrs Rasalie Pridgen Owens of Winterville died July 10, 1999 in
Jacksonville, Fl. Funeral is 11 am, Tuesday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel, Wilmington by Dr. Roger Horne. Interment will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Mrs. Owens was born Oct 9, 1909 in Burgaw, NC, the daughter of the late James Francis and Jennie Cereta Johnson Pridgen and was preceded in death by her husband, Napoleon Jerome Owens Sr. She was a member of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her three sons, Dr. N. Jerry Owens Jr. and wife, Mary Lois of Reidsville, Robrt J. Owens and wife Charlotte of Raleigh, Eugene A Owens and wife, Nancy of Greenville; a daughter, Rose Marie Owens Walker and husband, Robert of Neptune Beach, Fl; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three sisters in law, Estelle Owens Edwards, Yattie Pridgen and Norman Pridgen.(sic) ( could mean Norma?...it calls her a sister-in-law...cpm) |
