This is the last Will and Testament of me Miles Oatridge the younger late of Cowley in the  County of Gloucester but now of Hucclecott in the same County Cheesefactor made this twenty  fourth Day of February in the Tenth year of the Reign of our Soveriegn Lord George the third by 

the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth  And in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy 

First I Will that all my Just Debts and Funeral Expenses be paid and satisfied Also I give unto 

my beloved Wife Sarah the sum of Twenty pounds Also I Give and Devise unto Richard Bigland  of Frocester in the County of Gloucester Esquire and Thomas Oatridge of Tetbury in the same  County Woolstapler All and singular my freehold and leasehold Messuages Lands Tenements  and Hereditaments? of which kind name or sort soever they do S??? by ?? and being in the 

County og Gloucester or elsewhere in the kingdom of England to hold to them the said Richard  Bigland and Thomas Oatridge their Heirs Executors and Assigns Also I give and bequeath unto  the said Richard Bigland and Thomas Oatridge all the rest and residue of my personal estate of 

what kind nature or sort soever and make them Joint Executors of this my last Will and  Testament upon Trust that they the said Richard Bigland and Thomas Oatridge and the survivor  of them and their Executors and Asm'ors of such survivor so and shall with just aid and 

assistance as they shall think proper carry on or make to be carryed on my Trade or Business of  a Cheese Factor for the Benefit of my son John ??? till he shall attain his age of twenty one  years and during his minority Inshure or cause him to be Inshured therein in the best manner in  their power and employ such of my said personal Estate therein as they shall think proper And I 

Desire that my ???? Servant William Spilman may be continued to be employed during such  minority as an assistant in the said Business and I hope and believe that he will serve my said  Son with the same ??? and honesty he had always shown to me And I Desire my said Executors 

and thereby Direct then to pay to the said William Spilman the sum of Twnety pounds  Immediately after my Decease a sum to be of my regard for him 

And Whereas Mr William Lovebrow of Dursley in the County of Gloucester aforesaid di purchase 

certain Lands Tenements Wills and ???s situate in COwley Cam and Slimbridge or some or one  of them in the said County of Gloucester formerly the Estate of John Easington Esquire ???  before Master? Querhole? one of the Masters of the Shire Court of Chancery ???? in Lot ???? at  or for the price or sum of Two thousand Eight hundred and five pounds In Trust for me Now I do 

hereby Direct that my said Trustees and the Survivor of them and the and the Executors and  Adm'ors of such survivor shall and do out of my said personal Estate ??? and pay the said sum  of Two thousand Eight hundred and five pounds to the proper person or persons who shall be 

entitled to receive the same upon the ??? of the proper conveyances or into the hands of the  ????? ???? of the ??? Court of Chancery if Directed by the said Court and all costs and charges  attending the same And I hereby Direct that the Conveyances of the same premises shall be 

taken in the names of the said Trustees or the Survivor of them his heirs and assigns In Trust to  apply the rents and profits thereof for the benefit of my said son John During his minority and  from and after he shall have attained his Age of Twenty one years Then I will that my said 

Trustees or the Survivor of them his heirs or Assigns shall and do convey all and singular the  same premises to my said son John his heirs and Assigns for own And as to my freehold and  Leasehold Estates so Devised to my said Trustees as aforesaid I will that they and the survivor  of them and the Executors? and Adm'ors of such survivors do and shall During the Minority of 

my said Son John Employ the costs rents and profits thereof for his Benefit and Advantage and  from and after my said son shall have attained his sais Age of Twenty one years Then I Give and  Devise all and singular my freeholds and leasehold lands Tenements and ??? and all and 

Singular my personal estate of whatsoever kind or sort unto my said son John his heirs  Executors and Adm'ors provided always nevertheless and it is my Will that my said Trustees or  either of them and the survivor of them and their heirs Executors and Adm'ors of such survivor 

shall be at libertyand have full power and authority to allow and pay unto the said son John for  his Maintenance and Clothing from time to time During his Minority out of my said ??? Estates  such sum or sums of money as they in their ??? shall think fit and that his ????? and ??? shall  be a full Discharge to them or either of them for the same BUT in case my said Son John shall 

happen to depart this life without Issue of his Body now fully begotten or being such all of them  shall Die without Issue before attainment of the Age of Twenty one Then I Give and Devise All  and singular my Freehold and Leasehold Estates whatsoever and also my personal Estate unto 

my Father Miles Oatridge for and during the term of his normal life and from and after his  Decease as ???? and Executing my said freehold Estates I Give and Devise the same unto my  sister Elizabeth Rossiere for and during the term of her normal life and from and after her  Decease I Give and Devise the same unto my Nephew Richard Cork his heirs and Assigns for 

ever And as ??? and concerning my household and personal estates after the Decease of my  said Father I Give and bequeath the same unto my other Nephews and Nieces Elizabeth T?yol?  Ann Savage SImon Savage Sarah and Elizabeth Savage and Mary and Elizabeth Cork their 

Executors and Adm'ors not as Joint Tenements but as Tenemnets in ???? Equally to be divided  between them Provided also my Will is that it shall and may be lawful to and for my said  Executors and Trustees for the time being and such of them amd such of their heirs Executors 

and Adm'ors ??? ??? from time to time and at all times hereinafter to ???? ??? by and out of  the money which by ??? ???? persons or any trust herein such ?? shall come to ??? to their or  any of their hands all Assigns Executors and Assigns and ??? whatsoever which they or any or  either of them respectively shall ??? or be put into or in any way ???? ??? ??? about the ???? 

or performing of all and every of the Trusts aforesaid or otherwise by reason of those persons or  any Trust herein declared and that they my said Executors and Trustees for the time being shall  be charged or chargeable only such and every of them for and in ?? hos own cost or ?? receipts 

payments ??? and Wilful Defaults and not otherwise and shall not be charged with any sum or  sums of money ther than sure as shall virtually and respectively come to his or their hands by  virtue of those presents ??? with any loss or Damage which may happen in ??ing out the money 

aforesaid at Interest or Deposits ?? the same in any Bank or Bankers hands for safe Custody nor  with any loss or Damage which may happen without his ?? or ?? wilful Default And Lastly  revoking all former Wills I hereby Declare this to be my last Will and Testament 

In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament recorded? in Seven Sheaves of  paper to the first six thereof subscribed my name and ???? ?? my hand and seal this Day and  year first above written Miles Oatridge Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the Testator  as and for his last WIll and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names as 

Witnesses hereto in the presence of the Testator and of each other  the marks of John Manns

Probate Statement: This Will was proved at London the Twenty Eighth Day of September in the 

year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy before the Right Worshipful ????  ??? Doctor of Laws ???? ???? or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully  constituted by the Oath of Ricahrd Bigland one of the Executors named in the said Will to whom  Administration was Granted of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and ??? of the Deceased he 

having first sworn by Commission Duly to Administrator power reserved to Thomas Oaridge the  other Executor when he shall apply for the same
