Will of John Oatridge 1717 Source: w1: Archdeaconry of Wilts Wills. (1224) Transcript In the name of God Amen I John Oatridge of Eastcourt in the County of Wilts Gent being in health of body and of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be given to the Allmighty God for the same and calling to mind the uncertainty of this life and that it is appointed for all men ... therefore make and ????. this my ???? last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is say) ffirst to primarily I commend my soul into the hands of Allmighty God having through the ????? Death and Crucifixion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon from ???? all my sins ........... and my body commit to the Earth to be but only Buryed at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and as ??? the disposition of such wordly Estate as it hath pleased allmighty god to bless me withall. I give and dispose thereof as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth my now wife the use of all my Inshore? good ...... of her naturall life and from immediatly after her decease I give the same to my Executor as his only for Good for ever Item I give more to my said wife all such Corn and Grain in and about my house Barns Hook Barton or offshore? about my said house. Item I give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Morgan the sum of two hundred pounds provided that she do and shall surrender her Right of Interest for terms of her life in my Estate in Eastcott aforesaid upon the request of my son Henry Oatridge and not otherwise. All the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Good Chattels and ???? not before given I give devise and bequeath unto Henry Oatridge my son whom I make my full sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament forsaking all others by me at any time ???? Ratifying & Confirming this and no other to be my Last Will.
