Will of Elizabeth Otridge 1859

(75) PPR Will Transcript: 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Otridge of Saint Peter's Place Hammersmith  in the County of Middlesex Spinster which I make being of sound and disposing mind. I request  to be separately buried in ?Park? Burial Ground as my Executors may think fit if that of the 

Baptist Chapel Hammersmith.?? ???? wishing not to be ???? in a ??? coffin and to have my  funeral conducted with pari horse breast and two coaches. I hereby nominate my friends the  Reverend John Leechman Master of Arts if he shall be in England at the time of my decease or 

within out month thereafter Mathias Mundy Earthenware Dealer and John Betts Surgeon all of  Hammersmith aforesaid Executors of this my Will by which I direct pay ??? to be ?? of all my  just debts funeral testamentary expenses  I give and bequeath such of my household goods as shall be standing in my apartments at the 

time of my decease to Jane Holifield widow of George Holifield with whom I have long resided (if  resident with her at the time of my decease) anbd to Emma Pithers her daughter hereinafter  named to and for their absolute use in equal shares and proportions. All other my Chattels and 

household effects not before disposed I give and bequeath unto the said John Leechamn 

Matthias Mumby and John Betts and the survivors or survivor of them his executors  administrators and assigns together with the sum of seven hundred pounds three pounds for for 

??? ??? ??? and all Annuities for terms of years standing in my name in the Books of The  Governer and Company of the Bank of England and direct them to convert into money the said  Chattels and Effects in such manner as they shall see fit and aafter payment of all my said debts  funeral and testamentary expenses out of the monies to be thereby realized and the said ??? to 

pay the legacies hereinafter named (that is to say) to the said Reverend John Leechman thirty  pounds and to his wife five pounds to the said John Betts ten pounds and to Mr ?Spauris? Robert  Jago of Hammersmith aforesaid Surgeon thirty poundsto the said Jane Holifield senior widow 

Twenty pounds in consideration of services tobe rendered by her in domestic and funeral  arrangements consequent on my decease to Mary Ann Holifield and to William Holifield of  Brentford their son and to his wife five pounds each. To the said Emma Pithers fifty pounds and  to her husband William Pithers ten pounds to Mrs Bird widow of the late Reverend John Bird of 

Hammersmith five pounds to ?Spauris Berguin of ?? Street Hammersmith Gate five pounds to  Robert Watson of Hammersmith Solicitor ten pounds to my servant Elizabeth Wheeler four  pounds for mourning if she be living with me on my decease to the Treasurer for the time being 

of the funds for rebuilding the Baptist Church Hammersmith towards the expenses thereof fifty  pounds to the Treas of the Poor Fund of the same Chapel for the general purposes of such fund  ten pounds and to the Treasurer for the time being of the following Societies for the general 

purposes of such societies respectively the following sums: Baptist ??? Mission ten pounds;  Aged Pilgrims Society ten pounds; Baptist Bible ??? Society five pounds; Baptist Missionary  Society fifty pounds; Baptist Irish Society fifty pounds all which legacies to Charitable Institutions  I direct shall be paid out of personal Estate and after full payment of the aforesaid ?? legacies 

funeral and testamentory expenses I give and bequeath all the Residue of my estate and effects  not consisting of Chattels ?? which may by sale be effectually given unto the Treasurers for the  time being of the Baptist Missionary Society and Baptist Irish Society for the general purposes 

thereof in equal proportions I direct that the receipts of the respective Treasurers for the time  being of the said Societies and also of the Female legatees (being married) shall be a good  discharge to my said Executors who shall not be liable the ?? out for the other of ??? but each  only for his own receipts and defaults and not for involuntary losses in any ??? and shall be at 

liberty to charge ??? and retain all costs charges and exposures to be by them necessarily and  properly incurred in or about the execution of the trusts of this my will I heereby revoke all former  wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this to be my last will and testament 

In witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Otridge the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand this fifth  day of February One thousand Eight hundred and fifty nine - Elizabeth Otridge -  Signed Published and Declared by the said Elizabeth Otridge the Testatrix as and for her last 

Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence  of each other all being present at the same time have hereunto subscribed our names as  witnesses: Revill? Watson Jun - Bingham Watson Clerks to Messrs Watson & ??? Solicitors  Hammersmith. 

Proved at London 22nd October 1859 by the Oath of the Reverend John Leechman Doctor of  Laws  Matthias Mundy and John Betts the Executors to whom Admon was granted.
