Will of Daniel Oatridge 1732 Source: w1: Archdeaconry of Wilts Wills. (746) Transcript: This is the Last Will and Testament of me Daniel Oatridge als Crips of Oakesey in the County of Wilts Carpenter. Imprimis I Give and Bequeath unto my loving son Joseph and his heirs for ever my Malt House at Biseley in the County of Gloucester. Item I Give and Bequeath unto my Loving Son Daniel the Best End of my Dwelling House to wherein I now dwell (after the decease of my wife Rachel) that is as far as the old Buttery and the use of the Well and the Well Door to go to the well and one half of my Orchard and Garden for him and his heirs to enjoy for ever and I likewise give him the sum of Tenn Pounds to be paid him out of my Freehold Estate as soon as it is sold and Tenn pounds more at the Decease of my wife Rachel and one half of my carpentry implements or tools. Item I give and bequeath unto my loving son Josiah (after the decease of my wife Rachel) the other half of my dwelling house that is the new Built Room and the old Buttery and the ?? of the Well and Well Door and the other half of my Garden and Orchard to him and his heirs for ever and I likewise give him give him the sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid out of my Freehold Estate when sold and one half of my Carpentry Implements or Tools Item my Will farther is that at my decease my Freehold meadows called the "More Leases" shall be sold at the Discretion of my neighbour Richard Shermer and after the legacies deducted be equally between my sons Daniel Simeon Josiah Samuel Rice and Jacob unless either of them be willing to Purchase the other parts and if difference arises between them concerning the parting of my Houses or Lands I will that it be decided by my neighbour Richard Shermer and if in case any one or more of the Legatees shall commence any action at law concerning such division of my houses or lands he or they shall lose the Benefit of this my will excepting one shilling for one or each of them. Item I give and Bequeath unto my son Jacob and his heirs for ever my Stable and out House adjoining. Item I give and Bequeath unto my sons Rice and Jacob the Rents and Profits of my two Little Houses adjoining to my Malt House at Biseley in the County of Gloucester so long as both lives and the survivor of them to have them to him and his heirs for ever. Item after the decease of my wife Rachel my will is that all my household goods shall be equally divided between such of my sons then living to be divided between them share and share alike All the Rest and Residue of my Personal Estate Goods Cattle and Chattels of what nature or kind soever I Give and Bequeath unto my Loving wife Rachel Oatridge alias Crips and my Loving Son Jacob Oatridge alias Crips whom I likewise make constitute and ordaine my whole and sole Executor and Executrix Joyntly of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke disanul and make void all former Wills and Testaments by me therefore made either by word or in writing.
