Will of Anthony Otridge 1735 Source: w9: Consistory Court of Winchester. Consistory Court of Winchester Hants RO ref 1735 B/54 (327) In the Name of the Eternal Trinity Father Son and Holy Gost three p???? and our God Amen. The ninth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty five I Anthony Otridge of Clanvil in the Parish of Weyhill in the County of Southamton do make and ordain this my last WIll and Testament in Manner following that is to say first I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body to the earth from where it was taken to be decently buried in Xtian burial at the direction of my Executrix herein after named. And as for what temporal estate it have pleased God to bestow upon me I bequeath and dispose off as followeth that is to say I give and bequeath unto Deborah my beloved wife My house that I now live in and the use of all and singular my household goods for and during the term of her Natural life provided she shall continue to a Widow But my Will is that if my wife shall contract Mariag with any man or hapen to die before my daughters Grac Mary or Ann or either of them that than and in that case my household goods and Chattels of what kind or quallity soever shall be equally divided between my three daughters aforesaid or the survivor or survivors of them. Item. I give and bequeath my house wherein I now live unto my son Anthony Otridge and his heirs and assigns immediatly after the death or second Mariag of my wife that now is provided that my son Anthony Otridg shall will and truly pay or ?? to be oaid unto my daughter Ann or for her ?? the sum of tenn pounds. And for default or neglect of paying the tenn pounds aforesaid my Will is that the writs issues and profits of my house shall be appropriated for paying the aforesaid tenn pounds. But my will is farther that if my wife that now is ?? and continue a Widow and enjoy my house till such time as my daughter Ann shall at the age of thirteen years that then my son Anthony shall not be obliged to pay the aforesaid tenn pounds or any part thereof. Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Anthony afforesaid all and singular my woollen wearing apparel. And my will is further that if my son Anthony die refuse or neglect to x???x and put in any more ??? or his in this house that then my daughter Grace shall have the liberty to x???x (same word as before?) And if she died refuse or neglect that then my daughter Mary shall have the liberty to x???x. I nominate constitute and appoint my belived wife Solo Eexecutrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former will or wills by me made. I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the ??? Mr ??? Borverbank and Mr ??? both of this Parish to be ??? or guardians to for this my Will Executor according to the true intent and meaning thereof.
