Administration of John Oatridge 1830

(670) Deposition made by daughter Ann: 

In the Admon of Mr John Oatridge deceased. 

Ann Jones (the wife of the Revd Daniel Jones of Cardiff in the County of Glamorgan Clerk)  maketh Oath in faith that Letters of Admon of all and ??? the Goods Chattels and Credits of 

John Oatridge late of the parish of St Fagans in the County aforesaid Gentleman deceased was  granted and committed to this Deponent by the Consistory Court of the Bishop of Llandaff on the  12th day of August in A.D. 1828 in that the Estate and Effects of the said deceased for and in 

respect of which said Letters of Admon were granted was then sworn to be under the Value of  £1000 and the duty of £30 was accordingly paid. And this Deponent ??? saith that since  obtaining the said Letters of Admon within 6 calendar months now last past it hath been 

discovered that too little the duty was paid then by reason that this Deponent had been informed  that there was ???? of the only ??? ??? ??? said deceased from the Right Honourable the Earl  of Plymouth a sum of "about £300" but afterward when the ??? ??? of the Accounts it appeared  that the amount due was £500 

And this Deponent further saith that the personal Estate and Effects whereof the said deceased  was possessed and for which the said Letters of Admon were granted by the Court aforesaid  (exclusive of what the said deceased was possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee for any or from 

or ?? if not beneficially but including the Leasehold Estates for years of the said deceased where  absolute or determinable on a life or lives without deducting any thing on account of the debts  due and owing from the said deceased though exceeding the Value of £1000 and under the 

Value of £1500 according to the best of the known information and belief of this Deponent is that  too little duty was paid at first on the said Letters of Admon entirely through ignorance mistake or  misappreehension and without any intention of fraud or to delay the payment of the full Office  Duty which this Deponent hath been informed and ?? amounts to the sum of £45 All which is 

submitted to the Commissioner of Stamps praying that the Letters of Admon may now be duly  Stampt on payment only of the sum wanting to make up the duty which might to have been first  paid ??

Bondsmen: The Reverend Daniel Jones of the Town of Cardiff in the County of Glamorgan  Clerk Edward Bevan of Penhill in the Parish of Llandaff in the County aforesaid Farmer and John  Hawkins of Purton in the County of Wilts for £1000 

Date: 27th Feb 1830 

Granted to: Ann Jones (the wife of the above bondsman Daniel Jones) the lawful daughter of  John Oatridge late of the parish of Saint Fagans in the County of Glamorgan.
