= James L. Smith, of Fair Vale, Kings Co, NB d. Sat morning at the General Hospital, Saint John. Born at New Jerusalem, Queens Co, he was the s/o the late John H. & Eleanor A. (Vallis) Smith, and lived in Fair Vale for the past 30 years. Member of St David's United Church at Rothesay. Member of the Pioneers Club of the NB Telephone Co, Ltd. He retired in 1946, after 30 years with the NB Telephone. Surviving are his wife Authura R. Cremation took place in Calgary. A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's United Church on Wed. at 3 p.m. Friends may visit with the family at the church at 1:30 on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Canadian Heart Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Saint John.
