ELDER - Edward David (Tpr)
= Trp Edward David Elder s/o Mr. & Mrs. John B. Elder of New Jerusalem was reported missing in action in France.  He enlisted in Feb 1942 and went overseas in Oct of the same year. (#1,TJ,?)

ELDER - John & Annie E. (Vallis)
= John & Annie E. (Vallis) Elder celebrated their 50th Anniversary.  They were m. by Rev. L. J. Laird who now resides in Canning, NS.  They have 5 daus: Mrs. Wm. McCullum, of Hoyt; Mrs. Angus J. Urquhart, of Taymouth; Mrs. Ernest A. Rubridge, Gagetown; Mrs. Charles Burtt, Central Blissville & Mrs. Wm. Russell, of Taymouth. They had two sons: Edward, killed in France in 1944 and Robert, killed in a car accident in Saint John in 1952.  They have 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. (#1,TJ,?)

ELDER - John Dell
= John Dell Elder d. Mar 1969 at Swan Nursing Home, Harvey, NB in her 91st yr. Born at Olinville, Queens Co, s/o David & Elizabeth (Jackson) Elder. Funeral from Calvin's Funeral Home, Fallsview, Saint John, by Rev. G. L. Crowther of Welsford. His wife, Annie (Vallis) of New Jerusalem, pre-deceased him in 1966.  Survived by 5 daughters: Mrs. Wm. McCallum (Edith), Hoyt; Mrs. Angus Urquhart (Florence), Taymouth; Mrs. Charles Burtt (Ruth), Central Blissville; Mrs. Ernest Rubridge (Jean), Gagetown; Mrs. Wm. Russell (Mildred), Taymouth. One brother, Ernest Elder, of Saint John.  21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren.  Numerous nieces and nephews. Two sons, Robert & Edward pre-deceased him. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery. ELDER - Robert J.
= Robert J. Elder, 38, d. at the General Hospital, Saint John, following injury in a highway accident.  Born in Olinville, Queens Co, s/o Mr. & Mrs. John B. Elder, New Jerusalem where he lived most of his life.  Surviving are his wife, Edith; parents; 5 sisters: Mrs. Wm. Machum, Hoyt; Mrs. Angus Urquhart, Taymouth; Mrs. Charles Burtt, Blissville; Mrs. Ernest Rubridge, Gagetown; and Mrs. Wm. Russell, New Jerusalem, several nieces and nephews. Body at Brenan's Funeral Home, funeral Thursday at 3 pm, interment in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. (#1,TJ,?)

ELMS - James Leslie
= James Leslie Elms of Wickham, Queens Co, NB.  d. at Sussex Memorial Hospital, Kings Co, NB, 8 Dec (late 1950's or first half  of 1960's)  He was born in Cheltenham, Gloucester Co, England in 1910, s/o the late Edward & Ellen (Legee) Elms. He has resided in the Shannon & Wickham area of Queens Co since he came to Canada in 1921.  Member of the Wickham United Baptist Church.  Survived by his wife the former, Lottie Vail; three daughters, Mrs. John Barnett, Lakewood; Mrs. Kenneth Watson, Saint John and Carol Elms at home on brother, John, Sussex; one sister, Mrs. Violet Disley, Derbyshire, England, one nephew, one niece. Funeral 11 Dec, from Wickham Baptist Church, by Pastor Carl Prosser Lic.  Hymns by Mrs. Gerald Mott and Mrs. Willard Golding. Pallbearers:  Denton Lawson, Frank Lawson, Willard Golding, Ira Webster, George Belyea and Walter Ferris. (#1,TJ,?)

ESTABROOKS, Harold D.
    At Oromocto Public Hospital on Friday, February 10, 1978, Harold D. Estabrooks, aged 75 of Waterville Rd, Oromocto, NB. Survived by his wife Clarissa (Case), two daughters, two sons, seven grandchildren, one sister, several nieces and nephews.
    Resting at J.A. McAdam Funeral Home where services will be held on Monday at 2 pm.  Interment will be made in the family cemetery, Waterville Rd. (#1/DG)

ESTABROOKS, Harold D.
    Harold D. Estabrooks, 75, of Waterville Road, Oromocto, died Friday in the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Oromocto, he was a son of the late Albert and Annie (Foss) Estabrooks.  He worked as a gunsmith and was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
    He is survived by his wife, Clarissa (Case); two daughters, Mrs. Gary Schamahorn (Linda), Waterville Road; and Mrs. Thomas Johnston (Beryl), Fort McMurray, Alta; two sons, Austin and Jo, both of Waterville Road; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Vesta Bowles, San Fernando, Cal; several nieces and nephews.
    His body is resting at J.A. McAdam Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Monday at 2 pm.  Interment will be in the family cemetery on Waterville Road. (#1/DG)

EVELEIGH - Frances Patrea & FRANCIS - Frederick Harrison
= In St Stephen's Church, Queenstown, NB, by Rev. Hebert J. Hoyt, Frances Patrea Eveleigh d/o Mr. & Mrs. R. Nelson Eveleigh, Hampstead was united in m. to Frederick Harrison Francis, s/o Mr. & Mrs. Herbert A. Francis, of Armstrong's Corner. The organist was Mrs. Edward Scovil.  Miss Leona McPhee, Saint John was bridgesmaid and Eldon Cooper of Clones, NB was bestman. Ushers were Robert Eveleigh and Roy Francis, brothers of the bride and groom.  They will reside in Welsford. (#1,TJ,?)
