REIDs in PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND DIRECTORIES and ATLASES

The above includes those REIDs who (I assume) PAID to have a listing in the "Patrons' Directory" section of the Atlas. In addition, three REIDs elected (for a goodly fee, no doubt) to have their dwelling or place of business depicted in the Atlas.

There are many REID properties noted in the maps of each Lot - in Lot 35, for example, Richard REID, mentioned in the above "Patron Directory", is shown as holding four pieces of property - 87 acres on Mill Cove Road (near the Corran Ban Bridge) on which his dwelling was located, and three other properties totaling 235 acres on Black River Road (including a small island in Winter Bay).

In Lot 34, Richard's brother, James REID's property consisted of two parcels, 72 acres with a dwelling on Cove Head Road, and 84 acres on Triston Road.

Patrick REID, John REID and Robert REID all held property in Lot 22 in the Hope River area.

Peter REID's land (44 acres and a dwelling) was near Brae Station in Lot 9; Michael REID had 35 acres with a house and store nearby.
