2002-2003 Meeting Schedule

September 10, 2002
Demonstration by Caroline Ruda of "LEGACY" genealogical database software.

October 6, 2002
This year, the annual Family History Fair on Sunday, October 6, will again be held at CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue at 34th Street — the old B. Altman Department Store and the NYPL Science and Business Library — from 12 noon to 5 p.m. The Family History Fair is sponsored by the Archivists' Round Table of Metropolitan New York.
This annual event is free and open to the public. Many genealogical and historical societies as well as archives, vendors and other groups of interest to genealogists are there to meet and talk to the public. Additionally, there will be many seminars held throughout the day. The members of the MetroNY Genealogy & Computers SIG will also provide several lectures on computer issues of interest to the attendees.
A new feature this year is the "Ancestors Roadshow". Bring your research "brick wall" problem and sign up for a free discussion with a professional genealogist.
The MetroNY Computers & Genealogy group does not host a meeting in October because we attend and work at the annual Family History Fair.
