Clarke Family

                          Generation One

1.  Lt. Thaddeus Clarke; m. Elizabeth Mitton, daughter of Michael
Mitton and Elizabeth Cleeve, circa 1663; d. 15 May 1690 at Falmouth,
ME.
     He resided at Ireland. He immigrated circa 1660 to Maine. He and
Elizabeth Mitton resided at Falmouth, ME.

     Elizabeth Mitton was born circa 1644. She died in 1736 at Boston,
MA.
     Known children of Lt. Thaddeus Clarke and Elizabeth Mitton were
as follows:
     2.          i. Elizabeth Clarke, m. Col. Edward Tyng.
                ii. ___ Clarke; m. ___ Harvey.
                    She resided in 1719 at Boston, MA.
               iii. Isaac Clarke resided in 1718 at Framingham, PA.


                          Generation Two

2.  Elizabeth Clarke (Thaddeus1); m. Col. Edward Tyng, son of Col.
Edward Tyng and Mary Sears, circa 1680 at Falmouth, ME; bur. 4 Jul
1690.

     Col. Edward Tyng was born on 26 Mar 1649 at Boston, MA. He was
baptized on 1 Apr 1649. He was a member of the Ancient and Honorable
Artillery Company in 1668. He resided at Falmouth, ME. He resided at
Portland, ME. He was a councillor of New England, appointed by King
James II on 6 Feb 1685. He was appointed Governor of Annapolis after
the reduction of Nova Scotia in 1690. He died circa 1700 at France;
as a prisoner of the French.
