He resided at Scotland. He immigrated to Chester River, MD. He resided at Queen Anne's Co., MD. He left a will on 8 Dec 1768 at Queen Anne's Co., MD; proved 20 Apr 1769.

iii. James Carmichael married Letilla Emory, daughter of Arthur Emory and Jacquelin; 2nd husband. He died in 1778; d.s.p.
He was a ship's captain. He left a will on 4 May 1774 at Queen Anne's Co., MD; proved 26 Aug 1778.

iv. Margaret Carmichael was born circa 1741. She married Arthur Holt, son of Rev. Arthur Holt and Rebecca. She died in 1767. She was buried at 'Round Top', Kent Co., MD.

v. Elizabeth Carmichael married Dr. Samuel Thompson, son of Augustine Thompson.

vi. Catherine Carmichael married John Brown before 1769.
