4.  Sir John Aston (John3, Robert2, Roger1); m. Joan Lyttleton,
daughter of Sir William Lyttleton and Ellen Walshe; d. between 1523
and 1524.
     He resided at Heywood, Staffordshire, England. He resided at
Tixall, Staffordshire, England.

     Known children of Sir John Aston and Joan Lyttleton were:
     5.          i. Sir Edward Aston, m. Joan Bowles.


                          Generation Five

5.  Sir Edward Aston (John4, John3, Robert2, Roger1); m. Joan Bowles,
daughter of Sir Thomas Bowles; 2nd wife; d. circa 1568.
     He resided at Tixall, Staffordshire, England.

     Joan/Jane died on 15 Sep 1562.
     Known children of Sir Edward Aston and Joan Bowles were as

                    England; m. Elizabeth Barton.
                ii. Maria Aston; m. Simon Harcourt.

Tixall, Staffordshire, England; m. Elizabeth Barton; 2nd husband.
     He resided at Langdon, Staffordshire, England.

     Elizabeth Barton married Thomas Creswell; 1st husband.
     Known children of Leonard Aston and Elizabeth Barton were:
     7.          i. Walter Aston, m. Joyce Nason.

7.  Walter Aston (Leonard6, Edward5, John4, John3, Robert2, Roger1);
m. Joyce Nason.
     He and Joyce Nason resided at Langdon, Staffordshire, England.

     Joyce Nason resided at Rougham, Warwickshire, England.
     Known children of Walter Aston and Joyce Nason were:
     8.          i. Lt. Col. Walter Aston, b. circa 1607 at Langdon,
                    Staffordshire, England; m. Warbowe; m. Hannah
                    Jordan.


                          Generation Eight

8.  Lt. Col. Walter Aston (Walter7, Leonard6, Edward5, John4, John3,
Robert2, Roger1); b. circa 1607 at Langdon, Staffordshire, England; m.
Warbowe; 1st wife; m. Hannah Jordan; 2nd wife, 1st husband; d. 6 Apr
1656; bur. at Westover Parish Church, Charles City Co., VA.
     He immigrated circa 1628. He resided at Charles City Co., VA. He
was a member of the House of Burgesses 1629/30, 1631/32, 1632,
1632/33, 1641, 1642/43 at Virginia. He resided at Shirley Hundred, VA.
He was Lt. Colonel in 1655 at Virginia.

     Known children of Lt. Col. Walter Aston include:
     9.          i. Mary Aston, m. Richard Cocke.
                ii. Sussanah Aston; m. Lt. Col. Edward Major.
                    She left a will in 1662 at Nansemond Co., VA.
               iii. Elizabeth Aston; m. Thomas Binns.
                iv. Thomas Aston.
                 v. Walter Aston; b. 1639; d. 29 Jan 1666/67; bur. at
                    'Westover', Charles City Co., VA.
                    He resided at 'Causey's Care', VA. He left a will
                    on 21 Dec 1666; proved 4 Feb 1666/7.

     Hannah Jordan married Col. Edward Hill in 1656; 2nd wife, 2nd
husband.


                           Generation Nine

9.  Mary Aston (Walter8, Walter7, Leonard6, Edward5, John4, John3,
Robert2, Roger1); m. Richard Cocke circa 1647; 2nd wife.

     Richard Cocke was born circa 1600. He resided at 'Bremo', Henrico
Co., VA. He married Temperance Baley; 1st wife. He left a will on 4
Oct 1665. He died in 1665.
