1.  Anthony Smith; m. Martha Bacon, daughter of Rev. James Bacon and
Martha Woodward, circa 1651; d. circa 1667.
     He resided at Colchester, England.

     Martha Bacon was born circa 1629.
     Known children of Anthony Smith and Martha Bacon were as follows:
                 i. George Smith; b. 1652.
     2.         ii. Abigail Smith, b. 11 Mar 1656/57; m. Hon. Lewis
                    Burwell.
               iii. Elizabeth Smith; m. ___ Sherry.


                      Generation Two

2.  Abigail Smith (Anthony1); b. 11 Mar 1656/57; m. Hon. Lewis
Burwell, son of Maj. Lewis Burwell and Lucy Higginson, 1672 at
Gloucester Co., VA; 1st wife; d. 12 Nov 1692 at York Co., VA, at age
35.
     She resided at Colchester, England.

     Hon. Lewis Burwell was born circa 1652. He resided at 'King's
Creek', York Co., VA. He resided at 'Carter's Creek', Gloucester Co.,
VA. He married Martha Lear, daughter of Col. John Lear; 2nd husband,
2nd wife. He was a governor of the College of William and Mary in
1702. He was a member of Council between 1702 and 1711 at Virginia.
He left a will on 11 Oct 1710; proved 10 Feb 1710/11. He died on 19
Feb 1710/11.
