     He was a Member of Parliament at Exeter, England. He was
Chamberlain of Exeter at Exeter, England.
     Anastasia Bridgeman was buried on 25 Mar 1599 at St. Mary Major,
Exeter, Devon, England.
     Known children of John Hooker and Rachel Grindall were:

England. His will was proved 1608.

6.  Thomas Hooker (John4, Robert3, Robert2, John1); m. Susanna; bur.
24 Jul 1635 at Tilton Parish, Marfield, Leicestershire, England.
     He resided at Marefield, Tilton, Leicestershire, England.
     Susanna died on 16 Apr 1631 at Marfield, Leicestershire, England.
     Known children of Thomas Hooker and Susanna were as follows:
     7.          i. Rev. Thomas Hooker, b. 7 Jul 1586 at Marfield, co.
                    Leicester, England; m. Susannah Garbrand.

7.  Rev. Thomas Hooker (Thomas5, John4, Robert3, Robert2, John1); b. 7
Jul 1586 at Marfield, co. Leicester, England; m. Susannah Garbrand,
daughter of Richard Garbrand and Ann Ferrer, 3 Apr 1621 at Amersham,
Buckinghamshire, England; 1st husband; d. 7 Jul 1647 at Hartford, CT,
at age 61.
     He was graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge,
England; B.A. in 1608, M.A. in 1611. He immigrated in 1633 to
Cambridge, MA; on ship 'Griffin.' He and Susannah Garbrand resided
in 1636 at Hartford, CT.
     Susannah Garbrand was born circa 1593. She married William
Goodwin; 2nd husband. She died on 17 May 1676 at Farmington, CT.
     Known children of Rev. Thomas Hooker and Susannah Garbrand were
as follows:
                 i. Joanna Hooker; b. circa 1622; m. Rev. Thomas
                    Shepard 1638; 2nd wife.
     8.         ii. Mary Hooker, b. circa 1624; m. Rev. Roger Newton.
               iii. Anne Hooker; baptized 5 Jan 1625/26 at Great
                    Baddow, Essex, England; bur. 23 May 1626 at
                    Chelmsford, Essex, England.
                iv. Sarah Hooker; baptized 9 Apr 1628 at Chelmsford,
                    Essex, England; bur. 26 Aug 1629 at Chelmsford,
                    Essex, England.
     9.          v. Sarah Hooker, b. circa 1630; m. Rev. John Wilson.
                vi. John Hooker; b. circa 1631.
                    He returned to England.
    10.        vii. Rev. Samuel Hooker, b. circa 1633; m. Mary Willet.


                          Generation Seven

8.  Mary Hooker (Thomas6, Thomas5, John4, Robert3, Robert2, John1); b.
circa 1624; m. Rev. Roger Newton by circa 1646; d. 4 Feb 1676 at
Milford, CT.
     Rev. Roger Newton died on 7 Jun 1683 at Milford, CT.

9.  Sarah Hooker (Thomas6, Thomas5, John4, Robert3, Robert2, John1);
b. circa 1630; m. Rev. John Wilson, son of Rev. John Wilson and
Elizabeth Mansfield, circa 1648.
     Rev. John Wilson was born in Sep 1621 at England. He immigrated
in May 1632 to Boston, MA. He was educated in 1642 at Harvard College,
Cambridge, MA. He was baptized on 3 Mar 1643/44 at Boston, MA. He
resided at Medfield, MA. He died on 23 Aug 1691 at age 69.

10.  Rev. Samuel Hooker (Thomas6, Thomas5, John4, Robert3, Robert2,
John1); b. 1635; m. Mary Willet, daughter of Thomas Willet and Mary
Brown, 22 Sep 1658 at Plymouth, MA; 1st husband; d. 1697.
     He was graduated in 1653 at Harvard College, Cambridge, MA.
     Mary Willet was born on 10 Nov 1637. She married Rev. Thomas
Buckingham on 10 Aug 1703 at Farmington, CT; 2nd husband.
     Known children of Rev. Samuel Hooker and Mary Willet were:
    11.          i. Nathaniel Hooker, b. 28 Sep 1671; m. Mary
                    Stanley.


                          Generation Eight

11.  Nathaniel Hooker (Samuel7, Thomas6, Thomas5, John4, Robert3,
Robert2, John1); b. 28 Sep 1671; m. Mary Stanley, daughter of
Nathaniel Stanley and Sarah Boosey, 22 Dec 1698; 1st husband; d. 21
Nov 1711 at age 40.
     He was a merchant at Hartford, CT. He was a member of the
Legislature between 1709 and 1711.
     Mary Stanley was born on 8 Oct 1677 at Hartford, CT. She married
     John Austin on 8 Dec 1713 at Hartford, CT; 2nd husband. She died
on 23 or 25 Aug 1753 at age 75. She was buried at Center Church,
Hartford, CT.
     Known children of Nathaniel Hooker and Mary Stanley were as
follows:
                 i. Mary Hooker; b. 3 Dec 1699; d. 2 Jan 1765 at age
                    65; unmarried.
                ii. Alice Hooker; b. 12 Nov 1701; m. D. Howard; d.
                    1750.
               iii. Sarah Hooker; b. 7 Nov 1704; m. Hon. Daniel
                    Edwards, son of Richard Edwards and Mary Talcott;
                    d. 31 Jul 1775 at age 70.
                iv. Abigail Hooker; b. 1707; d. 4 Oct 1792; m. Rev.
                    Benjamin Lord; 3rd wife.
                 v. Nathaniel Hooker; m. Eunice Talcott, daughter of
                    Gov. Joseph Talcott; d. 24 Jan 1763 at Hartford,
                    CT.
                    He resided at Hartford, CT. He was graduated in
                    1729 at Yale College, New Haven, CT.
