Barliscombe, Devonshire, England. He was a serge maker. He resided at
Holcombe Rogus, Devon, England. He and Margaret Roberts immigrated in
1685/86 to Pennsylvania. He resided at Oxford, Philadelphia Co., PA.
He left a will 4mo 1717 at Philadelphia Co., PA; proved 3 Sep 1717.

     Margaret Roberts resided at Taunton, Somersetshire, England. She
resided at Barliscombe, Devon, England. She died after 1717 at
Pennsylvania.

Knowles and Elizabeth Newman, 4mo 5 1705 at Oxford Meeting,
Philadelphia Co., PA; d. 1750 at Merion, PA.
     She resided at Merion, Philadelphia Co., PA. She left a will on 9
Oct 1750 at Philadelphia Co., PA; proved 5 Nov 1750.

     John Knowles was born 9mo 23 1682 at West Challow, Berkshire,
England. He and Elizabeth Newman immigrated circa 1695 to Oxford Twp.,
Philadelphia Co., PA. He resided at Oxford Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA.
He was a carpenter. He left a will on 29 Mar 1739/40 at Philadelphia
Co., PA. He died in 1743 at Oxford Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA.

6.  Joseph Paul (Joseph4Paull, William3, John2, William1); b. 23 5mo
1683 at Ilminster, Somersetshire, England; m. Elizabeth Roberts,
daughter of Peter Roberts, 29 Jan 1710; 1st wife; m. Elizabeth
Bridewell; 2nd wife; d. Jan 1745 at Oxford Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA.
     He resided at Philadelphia Co., PA. He left a will on 27 Aug 1743
at Philadelphia Co., PA; proved 7 Jan 1745.

     Known children of Joseph Paul and Elizabeth Bridewell include:
