                          Generation One

1.  Col. Samuel Griffin; b. circa 1638 at Rappahannock Co, VA; m.
Sarah at Virginia; 2nd husband; d. circa 1703.
     He was a merchant. He resided at Rappahannock Co., VA. He resided
at Northumberland Co., VA. He left a will on 2 Feb 1702 at
Northumberland Co., VA; proved 15 Sep 1703.

     Sarah married Thomas Griffin; 1st husband.
     Known children of Col. Samuel Griffin and Sarah were:
     2.          i. Katherine Griffin, b. 16 Mar 1664; m. Col. William
                    Fauntleroy.


                          Generation Two

2.  Katherine Griffin (Samuel1); b. 16 Mar 1664; m. Col. William
Fauntleroy, son of Col. Moore Fauntleroy and Mary Hill, 14 Dec 1678;
1st husband; m. Maj. David Gwynn; 2nd husband; m. David Ridley before
6 Feb 1694; 3rd husband; d. 24 Sep 1728 at Richmond Co., VA, at age
64.

     Col. William Fauntleroy was born in 1650 at Rappahannock Co., VA.
He resided at 'Naylor's Hole', Lancaster Co., VA. He died before 14
Sep 1686.

     Maj. David Gwynn resided at Richmond Co., VA. He left a will;
proved 22 Feb 1702/3. He died in 1703.
