                          Generation One

1.  Anthoney Steptoe; b. 1653 at Middlesex, England; m. Lucy Stephen
at England; d. 1709 at Lancaster Co., VA.
     He immigrated in 1676 to Virginia; from Cudrig, England.
     Lucy Stephen in England.
     Known children of Anthoney Steptoe and Lucy Stephen were as
follows:
     2.          i. John Steptoe, b. circa 1673 at England; m.
                    Elizabeth.
     3.         ii. Judith Steptoe, b. circa 1675; m. Richard Lee.


                          Generation Two

2.  John Steptoe (Anthoney1); b. circa 1673 at England; m. Elizabeth
circa 1705; d. after 1719 at Lancaster Co., VA.
     Elizabeth married John Eustace.
     Known children of John Steptoe and Elizabeth were as follows:
                 i. William Steptoe; b. 1706; m. Ann; d. 1756.
                    He resided at Northumberland Co., VA.
                ii. John Steptoe; b. 1709; m. Joanna Lawson, daughter
                    of John Lawson, 1727.
               iii. Col. James Steptoe; b. 1710; m. Hannah Ashton; 1st
                    wife; m. Elizabeth Eskridge, daughter of Col.
                    George Eskridge and Margaret Borunn, circa 1745;
                    2nd husband, 2nd wife; d. circa 1778.
                    He resided at 'Homany Hall', Westmoreland Co., VA.
                iv. Elizabeth Steptoe; b. 1713; m. Samuel Blackwell,
                    son of Hon. Samuel Blackwell and Margery Downing.
     4.          v. Lucy Steptoe, b. 1720; m. Col. Joseph Blackwell.

3.  Judith Steptoe (Anthoney1); b. circa 1675; m. Richard Lee, son of
Hon. Hancock Lee and Mary Kendall, circa 1700.
     She and Richard Lee resided at 'Ditchley', Northumberland Co.,
VA.
     Richard Lee was born in 1681. He died in 1740.


                          Generation Three

4.  Lucy Steptoe (John2, Anthoney1); b. 1720; m. Col. Joseph
Blackwell, son of Hon. Samuel Blackwell and Margery Downing, 1740; d.
after 1787.
     Col. Joseph Blackwell was born on 9 Jul 1715 at Northumberland
Co., VA. He died on 30 May 1787 at Fauquier Co., VA, at age 71.
