LAND OFFICE -- Mansfield, Oct. 13, 1819.

Whereas it is provided by the second section of the act of the General Assembly, of the state of Ohio, passed the sixteenth day of February, one Thousand Eight Hundred and Ten, entitled an act to amend the act, entitled an act directing in what manner Certain lands granted by Congress, for the use of Schools, in the Virginia Military Tract shall be surveyed & disposed of as follows viz. If the purchaser or purchasers his or their heirs or assigns, shall fail to Make payment agreeably to the provisions of the first section of this act, the Register shall enter upon the lands of the delinquent or delinquents, and give notice in the same manner Sheriffs may be required to do,for the time being in case of the sale of lands for debt, and shall proceed to sell the same to such person or persons as will pay the arrearages then due and become bound for the yearly payments as they may become due thereon,forever, agreeable to the conditions of the first sale of such tract or quarter section, by advertising such sale at least six weeks previous to the day of sale at two places in the towns of Mount Vernon, Mansfield and Canton.

IN PURSUANCE WHEREOF PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the part of the Virginia Military District School lands, being within the county of Richland on which interest has not been paid agreeably to the first section of said act, will be exposed for sale at Public Venue in Mansfield, on Tuesday the 30th day of November, 1819. Sale to commence at ten o'clock, A. M. And the part of said lands lying in Wayne county, the interest on which has not been paid will be exposed for sale at public Veudue in Wooster, on Tuesday the 7th day of December, 1819. sale to commence at ten o'clock, A. M. If the owner or owners of any of the following tracts. of lands or an person in his or their behalf, shall pay the arrear ages and costs due on such tracts prior to the day designated for sale, no such sale shall take place.
