Thanks for the notice about the tombstone of Joseph. It is interesting
because I have been watching your posts about the condition of the
tombs in
Patoutville and thought that I had no connection. This picture looks
like
someone is taking care of it however.

I know that the recond of death at the age of 36 for Emilie CORMIER,
wife of
Joseph Rivette [RIVET] is filed in Grand Coteau: Source: SWLR, Hebert,
D.
CORMIER, Emilia m. Joseph RIVETTE d. 21 Dec. 1864 at age 36 yrs. (GC
Ch.:
v. 1, p. 155) and and that her sucession was filed in Opelousas Court
House:
CORMIER, Emelia m. Joseph RIVETTE Succ.: 12 July 1870 (Opel. Ct.
Hse.: #
3[390). I don't like to make assumptions, but if I had to "guess" I
would say
that they [both] are buried in St. Charles Borremeo Cenetary in Grand
Coteau. I looked for a death date for Joseph, but could not identify
one.
