Trigg Co. KY Deed Book A, pg. 360 - March 24, 1821 - Know all men by these presents that I Benjamin LADD, Sr. of the county of Trigg and Commonwealth of Kentucky have for divers good reasons and considerations thereunto moveing me have this day granted, bargained and sold unto Edward B. LADD my son all the ballance and residue of my land in the original survey of 200 acres whereon I now live supposed to be 166 acres or thereabouts excepting the lands conveyed by me to my sons William and John out of said tract on the following conditions, To wit: That after my decease and his mother (Nancy) the land to be then fully and completely vested in him. Also a Negro boy named Henry on the same conditions namely after mine and Nancy (his mother's death or decease). In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th day of march 1821. /s/Benjamin (B) his mark LADD. Witness Ben. P. CAMPBELL - Trigg County Sct. Clerks Office 24th October 1823 - The foregoing Deed of bargain and sale form Benjamin LADD Sr. to Edward B. LADD was on this day produced to me William CANNON, Clerk of the County Court for the county Aforesaid, and acknowledged by the said Benjamin the grantor therein named to be his act and deed hand and seal for the purposes therein. And the same was ordered to record. In Testimony whereof and that the same together with this certificate are duly recorded in my office of said County Court. I have hereto set my hand. /s/Will.
