First Generation

1.	George Crickmer. On 15 Oct 1621 George married Margaret Rooke, in St. Mary at Coslany, Norwich, Norfolk County, England.¹ The church they were married in still stands; take a look at it. George was a "twisterer," which I take it has something to do with the textile industry, a principal industry in Norfolk County, England.

	Children:

		i.	Esther. Born on 13 Feb 1624 in Norwich, Norfolk County, England.

	2.	ii.	Edmund (1627-1680).

		iii.	Ann (Twin). Born on 1 Nov 1629 in Norwich, Norfolk County, England.

		iv.	Amos (Twin). Born on 1 Nov 1629 in Norwich, Norfolk County, England.

Second Generation

2.	Edmund Creekmore. Born about 8 Apr 1627 in Norwich, Norfolk County, England, Edmund died in Norfolk County, Virginia in 1680; he was 52. In 1654/1655 when Edmund was about 26, he married Jane Wood in Norfolk County, Virginia. Born about 1630 in England, Jane died in Norfolk County, Virginia after 1679; she was at least 49.

	Children:

		i.	John. Born before 1658 in Norfolk County, Virginia, John died there in 1711; he was 53. He was a boatwright. John married Dorothy Ballentine, daughter of George Ballentine & Frances Yates.

		ii.	Edward. Born before 1658, Edward died before 1740; he was 82. He was a cooper. Before 1717, when Edward was 59, he married Mary.

	3.	iii.	Edmund (1658-1737).

		iv.	Elizabeth.

Third Generation

3.	Edmund Creekmore. Born in 1658/1679 in Norfolk County, Virginia, Edmund died there in 1737. See a transcription of the remaining fragment of his will. He was a boatwright. Edmund married Elizabeth. Born about 1662, Elizabeth died in Norfolk County, Virginia before 6 May 1737.

	Children:

		i.	Edward. Born in Norfolk County, Virginia, Edward died there before 17 Jan 1750.

		ii.	Job. Born before 1719, Job died before 1750. He married Susan. Before 1717 when Edward was 59, he married Mary.

		iii.	Solomon. He died in 1769. He married Elizabeth.

		iv.	Edmund. He married Mary.

		v.	Sarah.

		vi.	Elizabeth. She married a Mr. Worner.

		vii.	Rachel. She married a Mr. Smith.

	4.	viii.	David (about 1728 - after 1787).

Fourth Generation

4.	David Creekmore. Born about 1728 in Norfolk County, Virginia. David died there after 1787; he was at least 59. Before 1760, he married Frances Ballentine, daughter of John & Jane Ballentine, in Norfolk County, Virginia. Frances was born about 1739 in Norfolk County, Virginia. 		i.	David. Born in Norfolk County, Virginia, David died there about 1789. He married Elizabeth.

		ii.	Charles. Born in Norfolk County, Virginia, Charles died there about 1819. He married Mary Ballance.²

	5.	iii.	Robert E. (1755-1824).

		iv.	Ballentine. Born in 1760 in Norfolk County, Virginia, Ballentine died in Whitley County, Kentucky, in 1830; he was 70. Before 1798, he married Barsheba Batchelor, daughter of Stephen Batchelor. Barsheba was born about 1766. This family moved to Nash County, North Carolina, and then to Whitley County, Kentucky, as did Ballentine's and Barsheba's respective siblings, Robert Creekmore and his wife Elizabeth (Barsheba's sister).

Fifth Generation

5.	Robert E. Creekmore. Born 1755/1765 in Norfolk County, Virginia, Robert died in Whitley County, Kentucky on 6 Jul 1824; he was 69.³ In 1773 he married Elizabeth Batchelor, daughter of Stephen Batchelor, in Norfolk County, Virginia.^4,5 Born in 1756, Elizabeth died in Whitley County, Kentucky on 1 Sep 1829; she was 73.³ For her family's page, click here.

		ii.	David B. Born 1774/1784 in North Carolina, David B. died in Nash County, North Carolina about 1840; he was 66.

		iii.	Sarah Frances. Born in 1784. On 10 Jul 1817 when Sarah Frances was 33, she married William M. Smith, in Washington Co., Virginia.

	6.	iv.	Ballentine Batchelor (1784-1849).

		v.	Elizabeth. Born on 13 Jan 1785, Elizabeth died on 22 Feb 1867; she was 82. Buried in Jellico Creek Cemetery, Whitley County, Kentucky. Elizabeth married William Porch, son of Henry Porch & Rebecca P. Denton. Born on 19 Mar 1791 in North Carolina, William died in Whitley County, Kentucky on 8 Dec 1847; he was 56.

		vi.	Mary Batchelor. Born in 1788 in Nash County, North Carolina. Mary Batchelor married Ezekiel Abbot Porch, son of Henry Porch & Rebecca P. Denton. Born on 22 Jul 1788.

		vii.	Celeter. Born on 8 Jan 1792 in Nash County, North Carolina, Celeter died in Whitley County, Kentucky on 13 Jan 1866; she was 74. Buried in Jellico Creek Cemetery, Whitley County, Kentucky. On 19 Feb 1821 when Celeter was 29, she married Simon Peter Jones, son of Simon Peter Jones, in Whitley County, Kentucky. Born on 5 Feb 1788 in Halifax County, North Carolina, Simon Peter died in Whitley County, Kentucky on 30 Mar 1879; he was 91.

		viii.	Robert Warren. Born on 8 Jan 1792 in Nash County, North Carolina, Robert Warren died in Calhoun County, Mississippi, on 11 Nov 1869; he was 77. Robert Warren first married Nancy McGowan, who was born on 25 Mar 1805. She died on 27 Feb 1853, at the age of 47. On 10 Mar 1858, when Robert Warren was 66, he second married Eliza McKelvey.

		ix.	William Ballentine. Born on 6 Dec 1797 in Nash County, North Carolina, William Ballentine died in Whitley County, Kentucky on 17 Feb 1890; he was 92. He was a Sheriff. On 14 Mar 1820 when William Ballentine was 22, he married Susan Porch, daughter of Henry Porch & Rebecca P. Denton, in Whitley County, Kentucky.⁶ Born on 2 Feb 1795, Susan died on 23 Dec 1866; she was 71.

		x.	John Pinar. Born in 1802. On 24 Nov 1829 when John Pinar was 27, he married Harriett Clements, in Knox County, Kentucky.

		xi.	Elisha. Born in 1803, Elisha B. died in Daviess County, Missouri in Mar 1858; he was 55. In 1824, when Elisha was 21, he married Margaret Gilreath, daughter of William & Rachel Gilreath.

		xii.	Henry Newton. Born on 12 Jan 1808 in Raleigh, North Carolina, Henry Newton died in Daviess County, Missouri on 2 Dec 1870; he was 62. On 29 May 1829 when Henry Newton was 21, he married Anna A. Blakely, daughter of Jesse Blakely.⁷ Born on 12 Apr 1810 in near Nashville, Tennessee. Anna A. died in Daviess County, Missouri on 18 Jul 1885; she was 75.⁷

Sixth Generation

6.	Ballentine Batchelor Creekmore. Born on 23 Jan 1784 in Norfolk County, Virginia, Ballentine Batchelor died in Whitley County, Kentucky in 1849; he was 64. He was a shoemaker. On 7 Sep 1807 when Ballentine Batchelor was 23, he married Mary Lemon Brown, daughter of Abel & Elizabeth Brown.⁸ Born in Jan 1786 in Norfolk County, Virginia, Mary Lemon died in Scott County, Tennessee on 12 Jan 1863; she was 77. 		ii.	Elizabeth. Born on 18 Dec 1809 in North Carolina, Elizabeth died in 1829; she was 19.³

		iii.	Green Berry. Born on 28 Dec 1811 in Nash County, North Carolina, Green Berry died about 1892; he was about 80. About 1834 when Green Berry, he first married Ida Ellison, who was born on 13 May 1818. On 30 Oct 1889 when Green Berry was 77, he second married Elizabeth Dickenson, in Whitley County, Kentucky. Elizabeth was born in 1835.

		iv.	Frances. Born in 1813, Frances married Nathaniel Blakely.

		v.	David Herbert. Born on 19 May 1817 in Abingdon, Washington County, Virginia, David Herbert died in Crawford County, Arkansas on 24 Dec 1898; he was 81. Buried in Love Cemetery, Fine Springs, Crawford County, Arkansas. On 13 Aug 1843 when David Herbert was 26, he first married Elizabeth Meadors, daughter of Jacob Meadors & Delila Jones, in Campbell County, Tennessee. She was born on 10 Sep 1820 in Whitley County, Kentucky and died in Crawford County, Arkansas on 22 Jan 1866; she was 45. On 22 Aug 1867 when David Herbert was 50, he second married Hannah Louvenie Peters, daughter of John Lafayette Peters & Mary Catherine Satterfield, in Campbell County, Tennessee. Born on 10 Jan 1834 in Tennessee,⁹ Hannah Louvenie died in Alma, Crawford County, Arkansas on 10 Sep 1912; she was 78.

		vi.	Mary Lemon. Born on 4 Oct 1821 in Washington County, Virginia, Mary Lemon died in Whitley County, Kentucky on 15 Feb 1894; she was 72. On 20 Feb 1858, when Mary Lemon was 36, she married William Jasper Cordell, son of John Cordell & Mary Diadema Crain, in Scott County, Tennessee. William Jasper was born on 8 Nov 1838 in Monroe County, Tennessee, and died in Scott County, Tennessee on 11 Dec 1902; he was 64.

		vii.	Thomas Ballentine. Born on 1 Nov 1823 in Whitley County, Kentucky, Thomas Ballentine died on 21 Aug 1911; he was 87. On 10 Mar 1850 when Thomas Ballentine was 26, he first married Mary Trammell, in Campbell County, Tennessee. Born in 1830, Mary died in 1871; she was 41. Thomas Ballentine second married Nancy Depuy, born in 1849. Nancy died in 1876; she was 27. Thomas Ballentine third married Emily Ross Neil. Born in 1828, Emily Ross died in 1902; she was 74.

		viii.	Anna B. Born on 6 Oct 1826 in Kentucky, Anna B. died about 1898; she was about 71. Anna B. married Rev. Solomon Perkins, who was born about 1818 in Kentucky.⁹

Seventh Generation

7.	Dinah Green Creekmore. Born on 14 Mar 1808 in Nash County, North Carolina,¹⁰ Dinah Green died in Whitley County, Kentucky on 11 May 1887; she was 79.¹⁰ Buried in Jellico Creek Cemetery, Whitley County, Kentucky. On 17 Nov 1825 when Dinah Green was 17, she married Jasper Newton Campbell, son of James Campbell & Anna Osborn, in Whitley County, Kentucky.¹¹ Born on 10 Jan 1809 in Whitley County, Kentucky,¹⁰ Jasper Newton died there on 17 Sep 1881; he was 72.¹⁰ Go to his family's page.
