In the Name of God amen I James Boyd in the province of North Carolina granvel County planter being in a weak and low condition of body but in a perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God caling to mind the mortality of my body and know that it is apointed for all men once to die dow mak and ordan this my Last will and testament that is to Say principally and first of all I give and Recommend my Sole to the hand of almighty god that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in Decent Christan burial at the Dischresson of my of executors Nothing Doubting but at general resurrection I Shall receive the Same again by the mighty power of god and as touching such worldly estate whearwith god pleased to bless me with in this Life I give Dismiss and Dispose the Same in the following maner and form - - - - - - - first first of all I give and bequeath unto my Ezebel my Deare beloved Daughter five Shillings Starling and no mor I also give and bequeath unto maragret my well beloved Daughter five Shillings Starling and no mor I also give and bequeath unto my grandaughters Mary Wilson and Ezebel wilson tow ews and a ram and tow pewter Dishes and one big bed and green Rug I also give and bequeath unto my granson James Wilson a Small cow with calf called Star I also give and bequeth unto my well beloved granson boyd Wilson Seven pounds proclamation money to be Leved out of my Estate to be paid at 12 years of age I allso give and bequeath ____unto Samuel Boyd my beloved Son fore Cows and tow Small Stear my one white hors and three Shape and also my waring Close and all my working Touls and No more I allso give and bequeath to my granson James boyd a Set of Smith Towls to be Delivered of Nathaniel Waller at his Dishereson to him at ten years of eage I allso give and bequeath to Mary Boyd my my belovd wife all the Rest of my housholds goods tenements Stock and Chatteles by her freely to be persesed and Injoyed this being my Last will and testament In witness thear unto Set my hand and Seal this twenty first Day of august in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy one

This will was produced in open Court by Mary Boyd Relict of James Boyd deceas'd and it appearing that there are no Executors mentioned in the said will. Therefore Administration with the Will Annex'd is granted to the said Mary Boyd & Zephaniah Waller and on Motion the Same was Ordered to be Recorded
