February 21, 1733/1734

In the Name of God Amen I John Ballentine being sick &c do make this my Will &c.
Imprimis, I make ordaine constitute and appoint my Dearly beloved Son Richard Ballentine my Exr of this my last Will & Testamt. Item I give and bequeath to my Dearly beloved Son Richd Ballentine all my full and whole tract of Land including as well my plantation whereon I now live and likewise that whereon he ye Sd Richard Ballentine lives and that whereon Jane Widow of my Son John Ballentine lives to him and his heirs or assignees for Ever
Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Susanna Ballentine my best feather Bed and Cow and Calf after my decease. And in Case She dies without Heirs to be divided among my other Children.
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandson John Ballentine a Heiffer yearling
Item I having given to my Daughters Mary and Eliza Creekmur a Cow and Calf in my life time in respect of my Wife Item my Will and Desire is that all the rest of Estate within and without be Equally divided among my children after my decease. In Witness whereof I the said John Ballentine have hereunto sett my hand and Seale ye 1. Day of Febry in ye year of our Lord Christ 1733/4

At a court held ye 16th day of August 1734 The Last Will and Testament of Jno Ballentine dceced was this day proved by the witnesses thereto and by the Exr therein named who made oath thereto and admitted to record and Certificate for obtaining a probate thereof in due form granted ye said Executor
