There is some confusion with the many Edmund and Henry Shermans.
I studied and compared the baptisms and wills found in Genealogical
Gleanings in England, 1883-1899, (1907 additions), Henry F. Waters in
an attempt to sort out the Henrys and Edmunds and their various
connections as shown in:

My conclusion was that I agree with the Sherman Genealogies and
not Talcott in the NY&NEF. (Talcott said Edmund b.1577 was son of
Henry b.1545)
