DAVIS b. 1833 Rhondda Valley, Wales came to PA in 1841 with his father John DAVIS. He lived in Luzerne, Schuylkill, and Lakawana Counties. He married Janet E. or Gwennette JENKINS (1833 Wales- 1888 Colo.). He was in the Union Army. He moved to Colorado about 1879 and died there in 1900. Estates 1871-1872 John E. DAVIS d. 1872 Minersville (image 548 of 748) Wife Ann renounced administration. Requested appt. of son-in-law John MAINWARRING. No further info with this record. missing? I could not find his will in the Schuylkill Co. Will Index. This is consistent Ann renouncing adminstgration rather that executorship.
