Gold lettering (almost gone) on front reads "TO ANNA FROM HER MOTHER, E. A. TAYLOR." This would be to Anna Chapman Taylor (1860-1930) from her mother, Esther Ann (Brown) Taylor (1798-1873), thereby fixing the date of the Bible's origin as being in the period 1860-1873
