IMFA - Membership Information

Membership is open to anyone who subscribes to our quarterly newsletter, MxWorld.

You may be descended from someone bearing the Mx surname, or you can be a spouse of an Mx, but libraries and genealogical societies are welcome members as well.

IMFA asks you to share your personal ties to the Mx surname with our membership. When you are researching, you may come across information that does not relate to your own ancestral family, but it might help someone else in our membership. We encourage you to send copies of obituaries, grave marker extractions, wills, Bible records, etc. to share with our membership.

Due to differences in currencies between the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and So. Africa, please contact your nearest family representative, listed below, for details on the cost of dues.

“Dues” simply cover the cost for photocopying, labeling and/or envelopes and postage to mail our 28-page quarterly newsletter. You may also send your mailing address to your country representative and ask that a sample newsletter be sent to you. In time we hope that we can make available a sample on this website.
