Notes for Ann Elizabeth Carr
This is a case in which copies of vital records disagree:

Arnold’s VR of RI state that Nathan married Ann E. Carr Feb 27, 1837. (Hopkinton marriages)

Barbour states that Nathan married Ann Elizabeth Case, both of North Stonington, Feb 20, 1837, by Rev. Amos R. Wells. (North Stonington VR)

Beaman’s VR of RI says her name was Carr (V9, p.43)

The Carr Book says her name was Carr (of course!)

For purposes of the genealogy I’ve used the date from North Stonington because it is more specific and more ‘local’. However I’ve used the last name ‘Carr’ because Nathan and Ann seem to have had a daughter named Adelina Carr Langworthy; the presumption then is that whoever transcribed the original records for the Barbour collection mistook ‘Carr’ for ‘Case’.

Anyone researching this family should beware of this issue, and have a look at the original records.
