Notes for Sanford Langworthy (ca 1772)
WFL noted that he had not been able to trace Sanford’s family (p111), but that the Babcock Genealogy claimed (without references) that he had left three sons. Some progress has been made in tracing Sanford’s descendants:
* The account of Sanford’s son Oliver is reliable, coming from a family Bible and letters of descendants.
* There is no proof that John W.C. was another of Sanford’s sons, but it seems likely given census data which will be discussed in the account of JWC.
* The death record for Lee Lord Longworthy, transcribed in Wisconsin Deaths and Burials (LDS online), says that his parents were S and Eunice Longworthy.

Census Tracking:
* 1800 - Paris, Oneida Co., NY (Langerthy)
* 1820 - LeRoy, Genesee Co., NY (Langwether)
* 1830 - LeRoy, Genesee Co., NY
* 1840 - LeRoy, Genesee Co., NY (Langworthey)
