The Brigenteen Angelica, out of Boston, of 16 guns was taken the 30th day May, 1778, by the Andromeda of 28 guns. Among the prisoners committed Forton prison the 7th day of July, 1778, was Jon’n Langworthy.607

The Norwich Packet of Dec 12, 1780 says:
“ We are favoured with the following list of prisoners which were held in Forton prison, near Portsmouth, in England, in July last, as nearly as could be possibly collected.....
From Rhode Island: ....Jonathan Langworthy,....”

William F. Langworthy believed he was this Jonathan.
