Just as done at the PlayDay celebrations of old, a stage was set up in the main intersection. The eight sheets of plywood backdrop were done in the photo album motif with painted pictures of typical scenes of the area. Roby Larson was the creator of this work. There were plenty of wood plank seats with backrests and a number of folks showed up to sit in the sun - while others chose the comfort of the shade next to the Food Palace building. References to the Swedish origin of the area were present in various ways during the event. In this photo, a large Swedish flag and a Swedish vimpel wave in the breezes.
