Many families in the greater Kiron community have old family albums. We'll start the Frodig/Dolk collection with a couple of snapshots from our private collection. We have been in contact with the Dolk's of Albuquerque and will add the additional items for the Dolk family when they arrive.
Carl Frodig was one of the "originals" who established the Kiron community. Carl never really lived long enough to see the establishment of the 'town' of Kiron but he certainly left his mark on the community's culture. I often wonder how the community would have turned out had his 'steady, friendly, kind' approach not been present. In my opinion, the community owes him a deep debt of gratitude.
Carl's grandson was Charles A. Dolk who lived in Kiron for many years before moving to Omaha. Charley and Matilda had many close friends in Kiron. Among them was my mother who they let stay in their Kiron home while she attended the Kiron High School.
