Every farmer had a flock of chickens. The Ernest Carlson family
visited some of the cousins of Carl Gustafson in Minnesota and
Wisconsin around 1939. All but one of the children of Carl Elof
Gustafsson, a brother of Johan Severin Gustafsson and uncle to
Carl Gustafson of Kiron, emigrated to the Kiron area around 1900
to 1910. They used the patronymic name of Carlsson and Carlsdotter
which became Carlson in the USA. Most found farms in the Alta
and Marathon area. Some moved to Wisconsin and Minnesota. |
