Attend the Gindlesperger Family Reunion

NEWS RELEASE
July 6, 2003

For Immediate Release

The third reunion of the family descended from Ulrich Gindlesperger sponsored by the Gindlesperger Family History Association, Inc., (GFHA) will be held at the Memorial Grove of Christ, Casebeer, Lutheran Church on Rt. 985 five miles north of Somerset, PA, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2003.

The reunion will feature the results of historical research about the earliest generations of the Gindlesperger family that was carried out over the past year.

Several branches of the Gindlesperger family have held regular reunions over the years. The Gindlesperger Family History Association, Inc., hopes to unite representatives of all branches of the family organizationally on its Board of Trustees and personally and socially in annual reunions.

All members, relatives, and other persons interested in the Gindlesperger family that descended from Ulrich Gindlesperger and its history are welcome. If your name is anything like Gindlesperger (whatever the spelling) you are probably a descendant of Ulrich (even if you have never heard of him). Members of the GFHA will set up a display of historical documents, photographs, and other items. Others attending are encouraged to bring their own items for display and research for sharing. Kitchen facilities will be available and lunch will be a "covered dish" buffet spread. Bring food to share, your family and its stories, and together we will all create the fellowship.

In addition to sponsoring the Annual Family Reunion, the purposes of the GFHA are to stimulate and publish family history research and to celebrate the history, lore, and accomplishments of the Gindlesperger family. The Annual Meeting of Members of the GFHA will be held as part of the Reunion.

For additional information, questions, or suggestions, contact Rev. Norman L. Gindlesperger, at [email protected].
