Zaberfeld was the home of Michael Kaefer and of Apollonia Kaefer. Michael married Anna Maria Blankenbaker, as her second husband. Apollonia married Anna Maria's brother, John Nicholas Blankenbaker, so the children in the two families were double first cousins. Notice the road sign pointing to Schwaigern.

Here is another detail of the Maypole in Zaberfeld. Usually, the signs or symbols on the pole are for the trades. This one uses some of the nearby communities. There is a movement to merge smaller communities into larger communities, which is not popular with the residents.
