William B. (Buck) Whalen, b. Missouri 9 Feb 1855, m. 14 Aug 1878 in Clark County, Arkansas, d. 18 Feb. 1808, Hall County, TX. buried near Esteline, TX. Family history says that his father ran a saloon in Sedalia, MO, and that he left home at age 12 or 14 and never returned. After his son was killed in Arkansas, around 1898, he moved his family to Red River County, TX, moving from there to west Texas, where he died.
Martha Levinia Coleman b. Dec. 1857 in McNairy Co. TN. moved to Arkansas with parents after 1876, m. 1878, moved to Texas after 1898, After her husband's death, she and unmarried children moved to Shawnee, OK. Died 1927, burial Fairview Cemetary, Shawnee, OK.

- Robert C. Whalen (Jack) b. Apr 1883, m. Katie Head (1889-1930)in Red River Co. TX, m. #2 Laura, d. 1961, b. Fairview, Shawnee, Okla.
- James Whalen, b. Sep 1885, believed to have died in California.
- Besse Whalen, b. Jan 1887, m. Charles Hutchinson, d. 1971, Oklahoma City.
- Grover Whalen , b. Mar 26, 1889, never married, d. in Shawnee, Okla May, 1885.
- Horace Whalen, b. 1892, never married, d. in Oklahoma City 1967, b. Fairview, Shawnee, OK.
