Mary (Elizabeth Mary) BREVARD After the death of General William Lee Davidson, his widow, Mary Brevard Davidson married Robert Harris of Cabarrus County, North Carolina. This Robert Harris is buried in Hunter's Graveyard, Cabarrus County. He died March 22, 1803, aged 66 years, and is buried with his first wife, Mary Wilson Harris, who died November 10, 1794. Mary Brevard (Davidson) Harris moved west to be with her daughters, made her will in Logan County, Kentucky, on December 26, 1823, which was proved on the 1st day of March, 1824. 2. He was admitted to the bar in 1827, removed to Greensburg, La., where he was register of the land office, and was elected to the state legislature, 1833-46. He was a Democratic representative in the 34th, 35th and 36th congresses, but withdrew from the 36th congress in February, 1861, with other secessionists. After the war he again served in the Louisiana legislature. He died in Livingston parish, La., Sept. 11, 1883.
