Carl, I propose that Old Mr. Gable is John Valentine Gable of the Equity Court - Lexington [proceeding styled] John Gable and Fred Gable vs Jacob Gable, and others. This record states that he died about 1834.

Furthermore, Rev. Godfrey Drehr in his Journal records that he married Eve Margaret Gable to Thompson, Caty Gable to Conrad Shull, David Roof to Nancy Gable, Jacob Sox to Susannah Gable, John Inginer to Elisabeth , Jesse Sox to Martha Gable, and Adam Younginer to Sarah Gable. These are all daughters of John Valentine and Martha. One could conclude that on the basis of location Old Mr. Gable is John Valentine husband of Martha.
