Cliff- I think that you have made a very interesting suggestion. The very wide span in birthdates that Zelma Price assigns to immigrant John Gable's children has always been suspicious--suggesting that some of them might actually be grandchildren. You have made a very plausible suggestion for reassigning Henry Gable as a child of Harmon Gable.
You will also find a comment from Karen Hines that supports your suggestion about Henry: Karen points out that Zelma Price herself states that immigrant John Gable was in Georgia in the years surrounding 1773, making him an unlikely father for a child born in SC in that year.
