    This indenture made and entered into - this 16th day of February AD 1876 between Samuel Byrum of the one part and M. R. Gable of the other part both of the county and state aforesaid:

    Witnesseth that the said Samuel Byrum for and in consideration of the sum of $150.00 to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained and sold unto the said M. R. Gable all that tract or parcel of land situate -

    lying and being in said county on waters of Payner Creek, beginning at a Black Jack stump thence S60 th 12 chs N25 W17 chs to a rock, thence S60 W12 chs R.O th S20 E5 chs to a PO thence S30 W760 pine, thence the road 1350 chs to a Black Jack, thence the road 7 chs to a PO thence the road 1450 chs to a PO thence N65 E3350 chs to the beginning containing fifty acres more or less with all the rights members and appurtenances to the same in any manner belonging to him the said M. R. Gable his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple.

    And I the said Samuel Byrum warrant and forever defend the right of the above described tract of land against myself my heirs executors and administrators and all other persons whosoever such the said M. R. Gable his heirs and assigns.
    In witness whereof I the said Samuel Byrum hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written, signed sealed & delivered in presence of

    Personally appeared Levi Gable who on oath says he with Hugh McLane saw Samuel Byrum sign seal and deliver the foregoing deed by making his mark for the uses and purposes therein mentioned sworn to and subscribed before me this 17th February 1877
