    Conveyance of mineral rights from M. R. Gable and B. F. Gable to Thomas H. Friel, dated 30 June 1890

    Know all men by these presents that for and in consideration of three hundred dollars to the undersigned grantors M. R. Gable and wife B. F. Gable in hand paid by Thomas H. Friel of Birmingham, Ala the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and do grant bargain sell and convey into the said Thomas H. Friel all the coal ore or and other minerals in under and upon the following described lands located in Shelby County Ala

    South West quarter 1/4 of the South West quarter 1/4 and South � half of the North West quarter 1/4 of South West quarter 1/4 of Section thirty four 34 Township nineteen 19 Range one 1 West containing 60 acres and also all the timber and water upon the land necessary for the development working and mining of said coal ore or and other minerals and the preparation of the same for market and the removal of the same and also the right of way and right to build roads of any description over the same necessary for the convenient transportation of said coal ore or and other minerals from said lands and the conveying and transporting to and from said lands all material and implements and that maybe of use in mining and removal of said coal ore or and other minerals or in the preparation of the same for market and also the right to build houses for all employees and machinery.

    To have and to hold to the said Thomas H. Friel his heirs and assigns forever and we do for join our heirs executors and administrators covenant with the said Thomas H. Friel his heirs and assigns that we are lawfully [illeg.] in fee simple of said premises and have agreed [illeg.] to sell and convey the same as aforesaid and we will and our heirs executors and administrators shall warrant and deed the land to the said Thomas H. Friel his heirs executors and assigns forever against the lawful claim of all persons.

    Given under our hand and seal this 30th day of June 1890.

    I John A. [illeg.] acting Justice of the Law in and for said county in said state hereby certify that M. R. Gable and wife B. F. Gable whose names are signed to the foregoing conveyance and who are known to me acknowledge before me on this day that being informed of the contents of this conveyance they executed the same voluntarily on the day the same bears date.
