    Henry Gable [Jr.]: Conveyance from Isaac Long of est. 123 acres on Anderson District, SC, dated 4 December 1828

    Conveyance To Henry Gable

    Know all men by these present that I Isaac Long of the State and district aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by Henry Gable, Junior of the State and district aforesaid have bargained, sold and released unto the said Henry Gable, Junior all that tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and twenty three acres more or less. Situated in Anderson District and State aforesaid and bounding East on land claimed by the heirs of Luke Hamilton, deceased, Northern on Nathan McAllisters land and West on Levi Gable and Jane McKee land South on Levi Gables and hath such marks boundings died butterings and a plat hereunto annexed Re______.

    Together with all and singular the right, members, hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining.

    To have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said Henry Gable, Junior, his heirs and assign forever and I do hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Henry Gable, Junior, his heirs and assign against myself, my heirs and assigns and every other person or persons whosoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof - - in Witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 4th Day of December One thousand eight hundred and twenty eight and in the fifty second year of American Independence.

    I, James Thompson, one of the Justices of the Quorum, do certify unto all whomsoever it may concern that this day appeared before me Letty Long, the wife of the within named Isaac Long and being privately and separately examined by me does declare that she is freely and voluntarily without any compulsion, dread or fear of any person or persons whomsoever renounces, release and forever relinquish unto Henry Gable, Junior all her interest and Estate and also her right and claim of dower of in or to all and singular the premises released and conveyed.

    Personally appeared before me Luke Hamilton and made oath in due form sayeth that he was present when the within deed was legally executed and that John Gable was a subscribing witness with himself.
