Gable Family of the South

Know all men by these Presents, That I, Levi Gable in the State of Georgia, Hart County, in consideration of the sum of Seven Hundred Dollars to me paid by James L. Gable in the State first aforesaid, County of Anderson have granted, bargain, sell and release and by these Presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said James L. Gable all that certain or parcel of land, situated, lying and being in the County and State aforesaid, on the Baskin Road and adjoining lands of Lucinda Hill, Sallie Taylor, James L. Gable and others and containing One Hundred acres be the same, more or less.

Together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining.

To Have and To Hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said James L. Gable his Heirs and assigns forever and I do thereby bind myself, my Heirs, Executor and Administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the paid premises unto the said James L. Gable his Heirs and assigns against me and my Heirs and all persons whomsoever lawfully claiming, or to claim the same on any part thereof.

Witness my Hand and Seal this 3rd day of November in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty One and in the One Hundred and 6th year of the Sovereignty and Independence of the United States of America.

Gable County of Anderson Know all men by these Presents that I, Levi Gable of Hart County and State of Georgia, for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Seventy Five Dollars to me paid by James L. Gable of the County of Anderson in the State of South Carolina, have granted, bargained, sold and released, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said James L. Gable all that certain tract or parcel of land situated in the County in the State aforesaid lying on Little Jordan waters of Wilson's Creek bounded by lands of James Gable on the north Sarah Gable on the east and L. M. Hall on south and others and containing forty two acres more or less. Together with all and singular the rights members hereditaments, and appurtenances to the said premises belonging or in anywise incident or appertaining thereto. To have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the said James L. Gable his heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and forever defen all and singular the said premises unto the said James L. Gable, his heirs and assigns against myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators or assigns and all persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
