to Levi Gable
Know all men by these presents that I, Henry Bird, of the State of South Carolina
and Pendleton District for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred
dollars to me in hand paid by Levi Gable of Abbeville District and State aforesaid
have granted, bargained, sold and released and by these presents do bargain,
grant, sale and release unto the said Levi Gable all that parcel or tract of
land situated, lying and being in the district and state aforesaid on the waters
of Wilson Creek waters of Rocky River containing one hundred and thirty five
acres bounding on Penuel Princes land Samuel Ericsons land John Callahands land
and land whereon Isaac Long now lives including twenty five acres joining the
above named land conveyed by Robert H. Lesley Est. of William Lesley, deceased,
to the above named Henry Bird the 22nd day of January in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and twenty four.
Together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments and appurtenances
to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining.
To have and to hold all and singular the premises before mentioned unto the
said Levi Gable, his heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself,
my heirs, executors and administrators and assigns to warrant and forever defend
all and singular the said premises unto the said Levi Gable, his heirs and assigns
against myself my heirs and against every other person or persons whomsoever
lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
Witness my hand and seal this ninth day of February in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and twenty four of the Independence of the United
States of American the forth eighth.

I, James Thompson, one of the Justices of the Quorum do certify unto all whom
it may concern that this day appeared before me, Elizabeth Bird, wife of the
within named Henry Bird and being privately and separately examined by me did
declare, does voluntarily and freely without compulsion, dread or fear of any
person or persons whomsoever renounced and released all her claim to the within,
also her right and claim of dower to all and singular the within premises.

that he was present when the within deed was duly executed and that John Gable
