According to The Descendants of William Fifield, Mehitable died without children. Note however that the first child of Benjamin, attributed by Sheppard to his second wife Susanna, was named Mehitable. Early census information shows that Mehitable had at least 4 males and 1 female. Her father in his will refers to Mehitable and her heirs. I suspect that Benjamin's daughter Mehitable was by first wife Mehitable and have assigned her accordingly. Additional research has turned up substantial information leading to more of the children and an upgrade to 6 males.

William served in Captain Osgood's company at the battle of Bunker Hill. He came to Salisbury NH in 1799. He was a miller by trade. Ebenezer Peaslee, husbandman of Weare, sued William Fifield, husbandman of Concord for payment of debt (Oesterlin, NH Court Records, page 251.).

Moses lived at Henniker, NH, moved to Orange County, VT before 1812. He died while in U. S. Service in the war of 1812. Information on Moses comes from a typescript document passed around among many Fifields and, after research, attributable to Henry Fifield of Montpelier VT who did extensive research on Fifields. The document by Henry is largely confirmed by Vermont Vital Records, NH vital records and Chelsea VT headstone inscriptions. Moses is quite clearly the 'John' of unknown parentage whose family is presented by Stearns in his Genealogy of NH. The children of Moses are listed in the Genealogy of NH 1908 by Stearns, and attributed to John Fifield, parentage unclear, who married Hepzibah ____. However, NH vital records record the births of both Silas and Patty (Polly) in Henniker to Moses and Hepzibah, thereby supporting the Henry Fifield research. The burial of Moses in Chelsea, with his date of death, is from VT vital records and duplicated on his headstone, which says that he died in Plattsburgh, NY. With him in the plot in the main cemetery near the center of Chelsea are wife Hepzibah, sons Adams and Ira, daughters Patty and Sophia and other members of the family. Pension papers for the War of 1812 say that Moses served as a Private in the U.S. Infantry Company ( October 2006, Vol. 23 #4 page 149 and January/April 2007, Vol. 24 #1-2 page 14.). He was warned out of Chelsea, Orange, Vermont, 1 Jan 1806 (Rollins, Vermont Warnings, 217.).

He married Dorcas Pearson (1046), daughter of John Pearson (23901) and Rebecca Osgood (23902), on 4 Jun 1772 in Danville, Rockingham, N.H ( Vol 58 page 122.). He died on 15 Jan 1828 in Salisbury, Merrimack, N.H., at age 82 (Probate File 478 Merrimack co. will of Jonathan.) (Newspaper obituary, , New-Hampshire Gazette, page [3], vol. LXXIII, iss. 14 Publication Date: February 19, 1828.). He was buried in Salisbury, Merrimack, N.H (New England Ancestors, online www.nehgs.org, Cemetery transcriptions from the NEHGS manuscript collection.) (www.findagrave.com, online www.findagrave.com, Memorial #75825996. Hereinafter cited as findagrave.).
Jonathan and Dorcas lived at Salisbury NH, where he moved prior to 1774. He served in the Battle of Bennington in Captain Webster's company, as well as in other battles. The History of Salisbury gives date of birth as 1747, contrary to Sheppard and NHVR, and says that he died age 81, which would confirm the 1747 date. The age of 81 is also on his headstone.

Children of Jonathan5 Fifield (1045) and Dorcas Pearson (1046) were as follows:
97. EDWARD5 FIFIELD (1047) (John4, Joseph3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 22 Jan 1748 in Kingston, provincial N.H (NHVR,: Parents recorded as John Jr. and Doratha.). He was christened on 24 Jan 1748 in Kingston, provincial N.H. He married Dorothy Sleeper (1048) say 1771. He died on 19 Aug 1831 in Plainfield, Sullivan, N.H., at age 83 (Probate File 548-a Sullivan co. will of Edward.) (Peter Fifield Wells, P. O. Box 152, Rindge, Cheshire, N.H. 03461-0152, 603-899-5460, As recorded at NH Historical Society.); Plainfield originally included Meriden. He was buried in Old Cemetery, village of Meriden, Plainfield, Sullivan, N.H (Ancestry, online www.ancestry.com, Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots, Volume II; 4/30/98.).
Edward lived at Salisbury NH, and then at Meriden, where he built a large frame house about 1/2 mile from Kimball Union Academy. He served with his brothers in the Revolutionary War. (History of Salisbury, NH.) He died age 83. According to the History of Salisbury, all of his children were born there and it lists all 12. The History of Plainfield says that Edward operated a tavern in the town, which son Stephen took over just prior to his death, and son Perley operated in 1847. See NHGR 26:1:1 for an article on this family (Dearborn, Dearborn's Salisbury, 571.) ( Jamuary 2009 Volume 26 #1 page 1.).

Children of Edward5 Fifield (1047) and Dorothy Sleeper (1048) were as follows:
98. ENSIGN ABRAHAM5 FIFIELD (1050) (John4, Joseph3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 21 Aug 1752 in Kingston, provincial N.H (NHVR,: The birth record gives his parents as John and Dorretha.). He was christened on 30 Aug 1752 in Kingston, provincial N.H. He married Abigail Silloway (1051), daughter of Abigail Sleeper (11973), in 1778. He died on 9 Jun 1840 in Salisbury, Merrimack, N.H., at age 87 (Probate File 1794 Merrimack co. intestate.). He was buried in Salisbury, Merrimack, N.H (New England Ancestors, online www.nehgs.org, Cemetery transcriptions from the NEHGS manuscript collection.).
Abraham lived at Salisbury, NH. He is reported to have fought at Bunker Hill and in Captain Webster's company at Bennington, and have been the second man over the breastworks at Bennington (History of Andover, NH and History of Salisbury, NH). Abigail Silloway, his wife, was also his cousin. DAR records give his life as 1762-1840, but 1752 is recorded in the NH vital records and the History of Andover. Information on his descendants is taken from History of Andover, NH. * The Exeter Newsletter reported his death (belatedly) and says he fought at the battles of Bunker Hill and Bennington. Annual allowance 56.99; received 170.97 on 4 Mar 1831 in Merrimack, N.H.

Children of Ensign Abraham5 Fifield (1050) and Abigail Silloway (1051) were as follows:
99. WILLIAM5 FIFIELD (835) (Edward4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 14 Aug 1730 in East Kingston, provincial N.H (NHVR,: Parents given as Edward and Elizabeth.). He married Anna Sinclair (836) on 14 Feb 1755 in Kingston, provincial N.H ("The Decendants of William Fifield," 19:102.). He died in 1785 in Salisbury, Hillsborough, N.H (Probate.).
William settled in East Kingston until 1775. Hillsboro co. deeds show that William of East Kingston purchased 100 acres in Salisbury for $454 recorded 30 September 1784. (Book 12 page 396). Probate records show that a William died intestate in Salisbury in 1785, leaving a widow Anna. Salisbury town records show that Anna Fifield moved to Poultney, VT. This tends to confirm East Kingston church record recordings at NH Historical Society showing Samuel baptized in 1770 as William's son. Further confirmation is in an additions and corrections to the history of Andover document at New Hampshire Historical Society, which says Edward, son of William, spent time in Poultney and several of his children were born there. The church records indicate that William's other children were all females. These are records for the Second Church of Christ. Jacob Cochran, husbandman of Enfield sued William Fifield of Salisbury for payment of debt (Oesterlin, NH Court Records, page 72.).

Children of William5 Fifield (835) and Anna Sinclair (836) were as follows:
100. ENSIGN SAMUEL5 FIFIELD (837) (Edward4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 14 Jun 1735 in East Kingston, provincial N.H (NHVR.). He was baptized on 13 Jul 1735 in Kingston, provincial N.H ( II:69.). He married Hannah Darling (838) on 29 Jul 1762 in Hampton, provincial N.H (NHVR,: No further information in record.). He married Ruth Brown (839), daughter of Samuel Brown (22104), circa 1769. He married Rachel Bean (840) on 10 Sep 1782 in Gilmanton, Strafford, N.H (Ibid., No further information in the record.). He died on 3 Sep 1812 in Danville, Caledonia, Vermont, at age 77 (Information obtained from family bibles. , DAR Bible records 35:147.).
Samuel lived in East Kingston until 30-35 years old, then became one of first settlers of Gilmanton in 1769 or 1770. Moved to Canterbury after about 20 years, then to Norwich, VT where he was in 1795. Next moved to Wheelock VT with son Edward and was there for next 14 years. He and wife both died at home of Stephen Randall and daughter Rachel in Danville. Soldier in His Majesty's Service at 18, served during French & Indian Wars and invaded Canada in 1760. Fought under General Stark at battle of Bennington. Title of Ensign. Was a soldier in Moses Foster's company in the Revolution. Information on Samuel is from research by his descendant Henry Fifield of Montpelier VT. Copies of Henry's genealogy were with other descendants of Samuel, and photocopies have been deposited with NEHGS and NH Historical Society. There is some question as to the year of his birth. One entry in the Fifield Genealogy by Henry indicates the possibility of 1736, which would avoid the conflicts with the other family members. Of course, he could have been a twin.

Children of Ensign Samuel5 Fifield (837) and Hannah Darling (838) were:

Children of Ensign Samuel5 Fifield (837) and Ruth Brown (839) were as follows:

There were no children of Ensign Samuel5 Fifield (837) and Rachel Bean (840).
101. HANNAH5 FIFIELD (1056) (Benjamin4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 17 Mar 1734 in Stratham, provincial N.H (NHVR,: Parents given as Benjamin and Sarah.). She married Nathaniel Wiggin (1057) circa 1756. She died on 29 Mar 1782 in Stratham, Rockingham, N.H., at age 48 (Arthur C. Wiggin, Agnes P. Bartlett and Alexander Lincoln, Wiggin Genealogy (n.p.: n.pub.), Page 28. Hereinafter cited as Wiggin Genealogy.).
Daughter Hannah Wiggin is mentioned in the will of Benjamin Fifield.

Children of Hannah5 Fifield (1056) and Nathaniel Wiggin (1057) were as follows:
102. DAVID5 FIFIELD (1061) (Benjamin4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born after 1743. He was christened on 28 Jun 1750 in Exeter, Rockingham, N.H (Congregational Church of Brentwood, Church records.). He married Betty (--?--) (4542). He died after 1797.
David lived in Brentwood NH and was administrator of his brother Benjamin's estate. His wife is unknown, but birth record of daughter Lydia gives the name Betty. The 1800 census indicates 2 males born 1790-1800 and 2 females in addition to those noted by Sheppard; probably the family of son Moses who removed to Bridgewater. The Baptist Church in Brentwood, organized 2 May 1771, was either destroyed by fire or torn down in 1828. The parsonage, built in 1832, burned 4 January 1892. Perhaps these happenings help explain the lack of vital records for the town.

Children of David5 Fifield (1061) and Betty (--?--) (4542) both born in Brentwood, Rockingham, N.H, were as follows:
103. SARAH5 FIFIELD (1063) (Benjamin4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born say 1747. She married Benjamin Merrill (1064) on 12 Jul 1770 in Stratham, provincial N.H (Letter, to Peter F. Wells, Pedigree chart from Howard W. Merrill of Stillwater ME dated 20 Feb 1992.). She died on 13 Apr 1833 in N.H (Ibid.).
Sarah married Benjamin as his second wife. He had married first, 23 May 1765, Anna Robinson and had Hannah, Benjamin and Elizabeth. Sarah had 6 children by Benjamin. Their lines are continued in 'A Merrill Memorial' by B. F. Merrill.

Children of Sarah5 Fifield (1063) and Benjamin Merrill (1064) were as follows:
104. ELIZABETH5 FIFIELD (1066) (Benjamin4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 27 Oct 1752 in Brentwood, provincial N.H (Peter Fifield Wells, P. O. Box 152, Rindge, Cheshire, N.H. 03461-0152, 603-899-5460, http://www.genealogy.com/genealogy/VG/00/00/13/02/98/0000130299/?Welcome=1023109186 6/3/2002.). She married Levi Robinson (22061), son of Joseph Robinson (22138) and Elizabeth (--?--) (22139), between 2 Jan 1781 and 1782 in Brentwood, Rockingham, N.H (E-mail message, e-mail to Peter Fifield Wells, [email protected]; 4 May 2002.) (Robinson Genealogical Society, The Genealogy of John Robinson of Exeter, N.H. (Connecticut: Robinson Genealogical Society, 1947), Page 40. Hereinafter cited as Robinson Genealogy.); The Robinson genealogy gives a possible alternate date of 9 December 1781; I would suspect this to have been the date of the marriage intent. She died on 25 Feb 1840 in Portland, Cumberland, Maine, at age 87 (Peter Fifield Wells, P. O. Box 152, Rindge, Cheshire, N.H. 03461-0152, 603-899-5460, http://www.genealogy.com/genealogy/VG/00/00/13/02/98/0000130299/?Welcome=1023109186 6/3/2002.). She was buried in Epsom, Merrimack, N.H (Ibid.).
According to her brother Benjamin's estate, Elizabeth married a Robinson.

Children of Elizabeth5 Fifield (1066) and Levi Robinson (22061) were as follows:
105. JONATHAN5 FIFIELD (1085) (Jonathan4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born circa 1736. He married Hulda Nason (11349), daughter of Richard Nason (19443) and Elizabeth Tilton (19444), circa 1761? (Copy of will , Will of Richard Nason; #6064, Rockingham County probate, Abstracts of the Probate Records of Rockingham County, NH; 1771-1799, Helen F. Evans, page 653, CD-ROM from Heritage Books.); Two granddaughters of Jonathan were named Hulda. The will of Richard Nason of Hampton Falls (1791) names daughter Hulda Fifield and grandson Richard Fifield.
He lived in 1766 (The New Hampshire Genealogical Record Volume 21 #1, January 2004.); Jonathan moved to Epping, NH where he had at least 2 children. The first readable record there is for 1766. A deed is recorded at Epping dated 19 July 1779 in which Richard Sleeper and his wife Martha (Jonathan's sister), of Kingston, 'in consideration of an ear of corn if required of me in hand paid before the delivery hereof by Jonathan Fifield of Epping' conveyed land in Epping. The last records for him in Epping are ca. 1780. In the 1790 census a Jonathan appears in Northfield NH, in 1790. See the NH Genealogical Record for an analysis. He lived in 1780 in Epping, Rockingham, N.H (N.H. Town Records : Epping NH town records p. 83 Vol. 1.); Tythingman. He appeared on the census of 2 Aug 1790 in Northfield, Rockingham, N.H (Heads of Families at the First Census of the United States taken in the year 1790 ,Northfield, Rockingham, N.H 2 Aug. 1790.) ( January 2004, Vol. 21 #1 page 20.).

Children of Jonathan5 Fifield (1085) and Hulda Nason (11349) were as follows:
106. MIRIAM5 FIFIELD (1088) (Jonathan4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born in 1740. She married Reuben Batchelor (1089) on 24 Nov 1757 in Danville, provincial N.H (NHVR.). She married Joseph Clifford Sanborn (1090) on 26 Feb 1777 in Danville, Rockingham, N.H ("The Decendants of William Fifield."); Miriam was the second wife of Joseph. Joseph's first wife, Elizabeth French (married 4 Dec 1761, she died 8 June 1776), bore him 8 children. She died in 1816.

Children of Miriam5 Fifield (1088) and Reuben Batchelor (1089) were as follows:

Children of Miriam5 Fifield (1088) and Joseph Clifford Sanborn (1090) were as follows:
107. MARTHA5 FIFIELD (1091) (Jonathan4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born circa 1744. She married Richard Sleeper (1092) on 22 Apr 1762 in Kingston, provincial N.H (NHVR.). She died after 1813.
In John's will, made in 1813 near his death, he mentioned Martha and all the children except Miriam.

Children of Martha5 Fifield (1091) and Richard Sleeper (1092) were as follows:
108. AGNES5 FIFIELD (1093) (Jonathan4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born circa 1747. She married Isaac Brown (1094) on 24 Dec 1765 in Seabrook, provincial N.H (NHVR.).
Agnes is mentioned in her father's will as having married a Brown. No more is known of her.

Children of Agnes5 Fifield (1093) and Isaac Brown (1094) were as follows:
109. GEORGE5 FIFIELD (1095) (Jonathan4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 29 Jun 1751 in Hampton Falls, provincial N.H (NHVR,: Parents were not named in the record.). He married Mary Marston (1096), daughter of Elisha Marston (25224) and Mary Drake (25225), on 15 Dec 1774 in Hampton Falls, Rockingham, N.H (Ibid., No further information in record.). He died circa 1806.
George lived on the Fifield estate at Hampton Falls. His will was probated 25 Feb 1806, and names all children but Miriam and Amey. Note however that Amey is sometimes employed as a diminutive of Ruhama, so they could be the same person. However, the census of 1790 shows 9 females in the house which Amey AND Ruhama would help account for. The History of Hampton Falls, while not completely clear, indicates that Richard was also the son of George. Richard's family appears in Hampton in 1810 with 4 male and 3 female children, but there is no mention of him in George's will. I feel that other evidence points to Richard being the son of George's older brother Jonathan ("The Decendants of William Fifield," 19:105.).

Children of George5 Fifield (1095) and Mary Marston (1096) all born in Hampton Falls, Rockingham, N.H, were as follows:
110. NATHANIEL5 FIFIELD (1076) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 11 May 1739 in Salisbury, Essex, Mass (NHVR.). He was christened on 3 Aug 1740 in East Kingston, provincial N.H. He married Janet Cilly (1077) circa 1762. He died on 2 Apr 1813 in Weare, Hillsborough, N.H., at age 73 (Probate File 03262 Hillsboro co. will of Nathaniel.). He died on 24 Apr 1813 at age 73 (Sugar Hill Cemetery Inscriptions, Weare, N.H. Inscriptions, 1937, Francis L. Childs, New Hampshire Historical Society, New Hampshire Historical Society, Park Street, Concord, Merrimack, N.H. 03301-6384, Page 5.). He was buried in Sugar Hill Cemetery, East Weare, Hillsborough, N.H (Ancestry, online www.ancestry.com, Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots, Volume II; 4/30/98.) (FAG, online unknown url, Memorial #49273226.).
Nathaniel 'came from Salisbury MA to Weare' in 1765, and was a Colonel in the Revolution. John Stitson, yeoman of Dunbarton sued Nathaniel for payment of a debt (Oesterlin, NH Court Records, page 300.).

Children of Nathaniel5 Fifield (1076) and Janet Cilly (1077) were as follows:
111. JOSEPH5 FIFIELD (1007) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 29 Jan 1747 in East Kingston, provincial N.H (NHVR,: Parents given as John and Elizabeth, year as 1747-8.). He was christened on 14 Feb 1748 in East Kingston, provincial N.H (Hosier, Kingston, N.H., Page 76.). He married Elizabeth Sanders (1008), daughter of Jonathan Sanders (16150) and Sarah Rowell (16151), on 20 Feb 1777 in Haverhill, Grafton, N.H (NHVR,: No further information in record.). He died in Apr 1788 in Haverhill, Grafton, N.H., at age 41 (Probate Grafton co. intestate, extensive records name children.).
Joseph's family is covered in TAG, Jan 1991. From 14 November 1779 to 31 November 1779, served in Major Benjamin Whitcomb's Core of Independent Rangers until they were taken into the Continental Army in Nov 1779 in Haverhill, Grafton, N.H (unknown author, "unknown essay title," NH State Papers, Volume 16 page 174.).

Children of Joseph5 Fifield (1007) and Elizabeth Sanders (1008) were as follows:
112. DAVID5 FIFIELD (1080) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 13 Mar 1751 in East Kingston, provincial N.H (Ibid., Parents given as John and Elizabeth.). He was christened on 14 Mar 1751 in East Kingston, provincial N.H (2nd Church of Christ, record at NH Historical says 17 March, Church records.). He married Abigail Larey (1081), daughter of Samuel Larey (24760), say 1771. He died on 6 Jan 1806 in Gilmanton, Strafford, N.H., at age 54 (Probate Strafford co. will of David.).
David lived in Belmont (Gilmanton), NH. DAR records give birth year as 1749. Gilmanton church records refer to him as Captain.

Children of David5 Fifield (1080) and Abigail Larey (1081) were as follows:
113. MOSES5 FIFIELD (1100) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 29 Feb 1760 in Kensington, provincial N.H (Ibid., Parents given as John and Mary.). He married Lucy (Mary) Levistone (1101) on 7 Nov 1785 in Billerica, Middlesex, Mass (Ibid., No further information in record.) (MAVR,: Vital Records of Billerica.). He died on 3 Jul 1832 in Unity, Sullivan, N.H., at age 72 (Probate File 4729-a Sullivan co. How not to write a will.). He was buried in County Farm Cemetery, Unity, Sullivan, N.H (Ancestry, online www.ancestry.com, Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots, Volume II; 4/30/98.).
Moses lived first at Weare, then at Unity NH. Served in the Revolutionary War. Widow Lucy's application for a pension was rejected because his service was for less than six months circa 1778.

Children of Moses5 Fifield (1100) and Lucy (Mary) Levistone (1101) were as follows:
114. LYDIA5 FIFIELD (1102) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 19 Aug 1761 in Kensington, provincial N.H (Ibid., Parents given as John and Mary.). She married Josiah Shaw (10482). She died before 1784 (Harriette F. Farwell, Shaw Records. A Memorial of Roger Shaw 1594-1661 (Bethel, Maine: E. C. Bowler, 1904). Hereinafter cited as Shaw Genealogy.).
This may be the Lydia that married Josiah Shaw who was born in Hampton 23 October 1759 per the register of the General Society of the War of 1812. The naming pattern of the children appears to confirm it. A Lydia Shaw died in Kensington on 27 September 1786, but there is no way of telling from the record if this was the same Lydia Shaw. Since the Shaw genealogy says Josiah married second in 1784, it seems unlikely.

Children of Lydia5 Fifield (1102) and Josiah Shaw (10482) were as follows:
115. HANNAH5 FIFIELD (1103) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 1 Oct 1762 in Kensington, provincial N.H (Ibid., Parents given as John and Mary, family record says year of birth 1763.). She married Joseph Smith (1104) on 23 Feb 1794 in Gilmanton, Strafford, N.H (NHVR.). She died after 1851; A deposition on 3 Aug 1852, NH Revolutionary Pension Records shows that she is still alive (90 years old) on that date.
Hannah moved to Tunbridge, VT with her husband Joseph. Nancy C. Haward suspects that a child was Mary Ann Smith born ca. 30 Nov 1812 in Vermont, "probably" Tunbridge. Jan Clark says "Apparently they had 2 sons, Josiah and Major, and 4 daughters.".

Children of Hannah5 Fifield (1103) and Joseph Smith (1104) were as follows:
116. PHEBE5 FIFIELD (1107) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 14 Feb 1768 in Kensington, provincial N.H (NHVR.). She married Deacon Daniel Folsom (1108) on 1 Mar 1792 in Gilmanton, Strafford, N.H ( Page 134.). She died on 24 Aug 1826 at age 58.
Phebe had 5 children by Daniel. Reference the Folsom Genealogy.

Children of Phebe5 Fifield (1107) and Deacon Daniel Folsom (1108) all born in Tunbridge, Orange, Vermont, were as follows:
117. MOLLY5 FIFIELD (1109) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 31 May 1770 in Kensington, provincial N.H (NHVR,: Parents given as John and Mary.). She married Jacob Folsom (1110) in 1793. She died on 30 Dec 1862 in Washington, Orange, Vermont, at age 92. She was buried in Washington, Orange, Vermont.
Molly and Jacob lived at Tunbridge, VT. She had 12 children by him. Jacob is covered in the Folsom genealogy.

Children of Molly5 Fifield (1109) and Jacob Folsom (1110) were as follows:
118. ABIGAIL5 FIFIELD (1111) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 18 Jul 1772 in Kensington, Rockingham, N.H (NHVR,: The birth record gives her parents as John and Mary.). She married Stephen Folsom (1112) on 21 Apr 1793 in Gilmanton, Strafford, N.H (NHVR,: No further information in the record.) ( Page 135.); Reverend Walter Powers. She married John Morrill (1113) after 1822. She died on 28 May 1860 in Tunbridge, Orange, Vermont, at age 87 (Vermont Vital Records,: Husband and father are named.).
Abigail and Stephen had 8 children. See the Folsom Genealogy for further information.

Children of Abigail5 Fifield (1111) and Stephen Folsom (1112) were as follows:

There were no children of Abigail5 Fifield (1111) and John Morrill (1113).
119. ANNAH5 FIFIELD (1115) (John4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 10 Dec 1776 in Kensington, Rockingham, N.H (NHVR,: Parents given as John and Mary.). She married John Folsom (1116) on 22 Apr 1798 in Tunbridge, Orange, Vermont (Vermont Vital Records,: No further information given.). She died on 19 Jan 1844 at age 67.
Annah and John had 9 children. See the Folsom Genealogy for further information.

Children of Annah5 Fifield (1115) and John Folsom (1116) were as follows:
120. MOLLY5 FIFIELD (1119) (Joseph4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born on 9 Sep 1758 in Stratham, provincial N.H. She was baptized on 10 Dec 1758 in Stratham, provincial N.H (transcribed by Priscilla Hammond, 1933 New Hampshire Historical Society.); Daughter of Joseph & Hannah. She married Joshua Neal Veasey (1120) on 15 Oct 1777 in Hampton, Rockingham, N.H (NHVR.). She died in Oct 1850 at age 92 (Newspaper obituary, , Exeter Newsletter, 20 Jan 1851, says Oct. 4? 1850 for her death.).

Children of Molly5 Fifield (1119) and Joshua Neal Veasey (1120) were as follows:
121. MARK5 FIFIELD (1121) (Joseph4, Edward3, Benjamin2, William1) was born in 1761. He was baptized on 1 Mar 1761 in Stratham, provincial N.H (transcribed by Priscilla Hammond, 1933 New Hampshire Historical Society.). He married Deborah Young (1122) on 16 Aug 1783 in Exeter, Rockingham, N.H (NHVR,: No further information in record.). He died on 17 Dec 1834 in Stratham, Rockingham, N.H (Probate File 12945, Rockingham co.). He was buried in Family Farm, Stratham, Rockingham, N.H (Ancestry, online www.ancestry.com, Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots, Volume II; 4/30/98.).
Mark and Deborah lived at Stratham, NH. The census of 1790 shows 1 male over 16 (himself), 2 males under 16 and 2 women (wife and daughter). The Noah who lived at Weymouth was not his son contrary to Sheppard. Testimony in Rockingham county probate papers by Noah Piper and Sarah Fifield gives the date of death, states that wife Deborah was still living and that Mark was a Revolutionary Pensioner ( April 2002, Vol. 19 #2 page 59. Discussion of Mark and his descendants.). He witnessed the land trans of Shadrach Fifield (3960) on 5 Jun 1817 in Stratham, Rockingham, N.H (Deed or deed abstract as noted,: Rockingham County 213:273.); Shadrach Fifield leases the farm sold to Joseph Smith by his father Mark and purchased from Joseph Smith by Shadrach to Mark and Deborah for life. Children of Elizabeth5 Weeks (10013) and Richard Scammon (10014) were:
131. DAVID5 FIFIELD (24083) (Stephen4, Henry3, William2, William1) (Heads of Families at the Second Census of the United States taken in the year 1800 Bradford, Caledonia, Vermont. Husband and wife born 1755-1775, male 1785-1790, 2 males and three females 1790-1800 4 Aug. 1800 The National Archives.) (Ibid.) was born between 1763 and 1775 (Heads of Families at the Second Census of the United States taken in the year 1800 Bradford, Caledonia, Vermont. Husband and wife born 1755-1775, male 1785-1790, 2 males and three females 1790-1800 4 Aug. 1800 The National Archives.); Speculative as to ancestry and descendants.

Children of David5 Fifield (24083) include:
132. RACHEL5 FIFIELD (14273) (Stephen4, Henry3, William2, William1) was born circa 1764; Estimated based on reported date of marriage. Rachel is assigned to Stephen and Susannah based on the appearance of the names Stephen and Susannah among her children plus her proximity to Joses' home of Kingston/Brentwood. She married Joses Ladd (14274) on 16 Oct 1784 in Deerfield, Rockingham, N.H (E-mail message, e-mail to Peter Fifield Wells, December 1998, Mary Beth Peterson, [email protected]). She died on 9 Oct 1850.

Children of Rachel5 Fifield (14273) and Joses Ladd (14274) were as follows:
133. DANIEL5 FIFIELD (5823) (Stephen4, Henry3, William2, William1) was born circa 1768 in N.H; The ancestry of Daniel is unproven. He is assigned to Stephen, son of Henry, based on the prevalence of the name Henry among descendants. He married Mary (--?--) (11898) circa 1794 (Bible information, Copy of transcribed bible record supplied by Floyd Fifield indicates Mary as the mother of William.). He married Betsey (--?--) (5933) circa 1809.
Most children are assigned to Daniel based on heresay, assumptions, etc. The early censuses indicate a family of at least 7 males and 3 females. Paul and Jonathan are most likely children based on VT warnings out for the town of Groton in 1805. Miriam appears to be more likely a daughter than a wife, based on the order of the namings and the apparent breaking up of the family. He was warned out of Groton, Caledonia, Vermont, 14 Nov 1805 (Rollins, Vermont Warnings, Page 97, Daniel, Jonathan, Paul and Miriam.); It is unclear whether Miriam was a wife (who could have died) or a daughter. He was warned out of Brookfield, Orange, Vermont, 20 Jun 1807 (Ibid., Page 207.). He was on 7 Oct 1847 in Hadley, Lapeer, Michigan.

Children of Daniel5 Fifield (5823) and Mary (--?--) (11898) were as follows:

Children of Daniel5 Fifield (5823) and Betsey (--?--) (5933) were as follows:
134. CAPTAIN WILLARD5 FIFIELD (1568) (Stephen4, Henry3, William2, William1) was born on 31 Jan 1776 in Hampton, Rockingham, N.H (NHVR,: Parents recorded as Stephen and Susanna.). He married Rebecca Drew (1569) on 16 Nov 1795 in Loudon, Rockingham, N.H (Ibid., No further information in record.). He married Miriam Clark (1570) on 1 Mar 1821 in Loudon, Rockingham, N.H (Ibid.). He died on 8 Mar 1856 in Loudon, Merrimack, N.H., at age 80 (Probate File 4378 Merrimack co. Will of Willard.) (New England Ancestors, online www.nehgs.org, Cemetery transcriptions from the NEHGS manuscript collection.); Age 80 years 2 months, "Captain" Willard Fifield (Loudon Centre Church Graveyard).
He left a will in 1856 in Merrimack, N.H (Probate Merrimack Co., NH; #4378.); Willard's will names his 3 daughters, Nancy Whidden, Susan Morris and Rebecca Bachelder; also eldest son Asa and sons Willard, John and Stephen. Stephen is known to have been from his first wife, the others are thereby assumed to have been from her, too.

Children of Captain Willard5 Fifield (1568) and Rebecca Drew (1569) were as follows:

There were no children of Captain Willard5 Fifield (1568) and Miriam Clark (1570).
135. JEREMIAH5 FIFIELD (1798) (Jane4, Henry3, William2, William1) was born circa 1773 in Hampton, Rockingham, N.H (NHVR,: Mother given as Jane, no birth date.). He was christened on 13 Mar 1775 in First Congregational Church, Hampton, Rockingham, N.H (Dow, Hampton, N.H., Page 708.) (Sanborn, Hampton Vital Records Vol II, Page 162.). He married Mary Wire (Weare?) (1947) circa 1798. He married Diadema Davidson (1799), daughter of William Davidson (24553) and Falura (--?--) (24554), on 11 Nov 1827 in Congregational Church, Lyme, Grafton, N.H (New England Ancestors, online www.nehgs.org, Records of the Congregational Church of Lyme, N.H.). He died in 1851 in Orford, Grafton, N.H (Probate Grafton co. will of Jeremiah.).
He appeared on the census of 1 Jun 1850 in Orford, Grafton, N.H (1850 U. S. Federal Census Orford, Grafton, N.H.; page 233 1 June 1850.); Jeremiah appears in the 1850 census in Orford with 'Diadana', living with daughter Sarah (Fifield) Howard. Also in Orford is the family of Thomas J. Fifield age 45 (wife Frances E., 40, son George W. age 9 and daughter Martha W. age 7). Since the 1810 census for Orford shows no sign of a young male in the house, I assume that this is the son of Joseph #368. Earlier censuses indicate that Jeremiah had 5 daughters. I have assigned four of them based on Orford and NH vital records information and census records, plus some assumptions.

Children of Jeremiah5 Fifield (1798) and Mary Wire (Weare?) (1947) were as follows:

There were no children of Jeremiah5 Fifield (1798) and Diadema Davidson (1799).
136. SAMUEL5 FIFIELD (1135) (Daniel4, Samuel3, William2, William1) was born on 28 Apr 1764 in Sanbornton, provincial N.H (Ibid., Father given as Daniel.). He married Susanna Hunt (1136), daughter of Zachus Hunt (25208) and Lois (--?--) (25209), circa 1788 in Kensington, Rockingham, N.H. He died on 21 Jun 1832 at age 68 (Bible information, Family bible dated 1808.).
Samuel lived a while at Wells River, VT and died at the home of his son Jacob. A family bible gives the year of birth as 1765, and the date of death as 21 June, 1832.

Children of Samuel5 Fifield (1135) and Susanna Hunt (1136) were as follows:
137. DANIEL5 FIFIELD (1137) (Daniel4, Samuel3, William2, William1) was born on 19 Jun 1766 in Sanbornton, provincial N.H (NHVR,: father given as Daniel.). He married Sarah Rowen (4201), daughter of Andrew Rowen (23716) and Phebe Dow (23717), on 29 Oct 1789 in Sanbornton, Strafford, N.H (Ibid., No further information in record.). He married Abigail Colburn (5430) on 24 Feb 1814 in Canaan, Grafton, N.H (Ibid., Daniel is 'of Bradford.'). He died between 1827 and 1830 (: Orange, Vermont, book 7 page 338.); No record of taxation in 1819 in Canaan, or further land transfers in Bradford. However, on 29 May 1827 Daniel Fifield of Topsham, Vt. sold to Diadema Fifield a parcel of land in Bradford, same parcel deeded by David to Absalom. No sign of Daniel in the 1830 census.
This is the Daniel Jr. who married Sarah Rxxx (unreadable last name) in Sanbornton on Oct 29,1789. Daniel appears in Bradford Vermont in the 1790-1810 censuses. This is proven by land transfer records, and the history of Bradford and the story of the lost Fifield boy named Andrew. He was land trans Daniel and Abigail Fifield to Samuel Cass, 5 acres, bounded by the farm on which I now live. Elizabeth Fifield a witness on 11 Oct 1816 in Bradford, Orange, Vermont (Ibid., Orange county Vermont; deed book 6 page 231, abstracted by Joyce Cantu.). He was land trans Daniel Fifield to Absalom Fifield, additional 5 acres to 25 previously deeded, and bounded in part by the farm on which he now lives. David Fifield and Benjamin Baldwin witnesses on 10 Jan 1817 in Bradford, Orange, Vermont (Ibid., Orange county Vermont; deed book 6 page 144, abstracted by Joyce Cantu.).

Children of Daniel5 Fifield (1137) and Sarah Rowen (4201) were as follows:

There were no children of Daniel5 Fifield (1137) and Abigail Colburn (5430).
138. JOSEPH5 FIFIELD (1138) (Daniel4, Samuel3, William2, William1) was born on 18 Jun 1768 in Sanbornton, provincial N.H (NHVR,: Father given as Daniel.). He married Dolly Gilman (1139) on 3 Mar 1808 in Dorchester, Grafton, N.H (Myra B. Lord, History of New London, NH (Concord, NH: Rumford Press, 1899). Hereinafter cited as New London, N.H.).
He appeared on the census of 1850 in Dorchester, Grafton, N.H (1850 U. S. Federal Census Dorchester, Grafton, N.H 1 June 1850.); Enumerated with wife Dolly; son Enoch head of house.

Children of Joseph5 Fifield (1138) and Dolly Gilman (1139) all born in Dorchester, Grafton, N.H, were as follows:
139. WILLIAM5 FIFIELD (1140) (Daniel4, Samuel3, William2, William1) (NHVR.) (Ibid.) was born on 15 May 1770 in Sanbornton, provincial N.H (Ibid.). He married Abigail Bedel (10108) on 10 Jul 1792 in Bath, Grafton, N.H (Ibid., No further information in the record.).
He appeared on the census of 1790; See the note under William's father, Daniel. In the 1790 census his brother Samuel appears in Vermont with wife and oldest daughter plus 2 males of about Samuel's age. I am assuming that one of those males was William. He appeared on the census of 1800 in Bath, Grafton, N.H; Probably the William that married Abigail Bedel here. The assignment of children to William is a best guess and by no means certain. He appeared on the census of 1820 in Mooers, Clinton, New York; Perhaps the William in Mooers in 1820? He appeared on the census of 1830 in Pierrepont, St. Lawrence, New York; Perhaps the William in Pierpont in 1830 where Nathan and Daniel appear in 1840?

Children of William5 Fifield (1140) and Abigail Bedel (10108) were as follows:
140. JONATHAN5 FIFIELD (1142) (Daniel4, Samuel3, William2, William1) was born on 4 Oct 1775 in Sanbornton, Strafford, N.H (NHVR,: Father given as Daniel.). He circa 1797. He died in 1832?
The assignment of a family to this Jonathan is an educated guess. Vermont records as provided through John Fifield of Everett WA show the marriage of Abbie, born Sanbornton NH, daughter of Jonathan and Susan (Quimby) Fifield. Another Vermont record shows the death of Susan Fifield, daughter of Jonathan and Susan. I assume this Jonathan based on the birth of Abbie in Sanbornton, and assume Susan has the same parents. The 1800 census shows a Jonathan in Newbury NH, apparently with one son, two daughters in the proper age range, wife and either mother or mother-in-law in the house. Perhaps it was this Jonathan. The assignment of Eliphalet is also an educated guess; his guardianship papers (Grafton County 1832) state that he is a minor child of ___ Fifield, late of Dorchester, and age 14. Perhaps his eldest daughter was named for his grandmother, and his eldest son for his father? In 1819 he was elected surveyor of lumber. He lived in 1800 in Sanbornton, Belknap, N.H (N.H. Town Records : Sanbornton NH, Volume 2 pages 102 & 115.); Jonathan appears with brothers Joseph and Samuel on the inventory and tax lists for Sanbornton. Jonathan was credited with 1/2 acre (?) each of orchard and tillage, 1 1/2 of mowing, 3 of pasturing, 1 cow and 25 wild land. He lived in 1801 in Dorchester, Grafton, N.H (N.H. Town Records : Dorchester NH, Volume 2 page 179 & 183.); Jonathan was inventoried and taxed in Dorchester from 1801 through 1821. For most of that time he was taxed on one cow. In 1817 he also had 1 cattle; in 1818 and 1819 a cow plus a horse.

Children of Jonathan5 Fifield (1142) and Susan Quimby (5648) were as follows:
141. ENOCH5 FIFIELD (1143) (Daniel4, Samuel3, William2, William1) was born on 5 Apr 1778 in Sanbornton, Strafford, N.H (NHVR,: Father given as Daniel.). He married Mehitable Page (1144) say 1807. He died on 18 Feb 1844 at age 65. He was buried in New Hampton, Belknap, N.H.

Children of Enoch5 Fifield (1143) and Mehitable Page (1144) were as follows:
142. MERCY5 SANBORN (9593) (Rachel4 Fifield, Samuel3, William2, William1) married James Lowell (9594).

143. JONATHAN5 SANBORN (7052) (Rachel4 Fifield, Samuel3, William2, William1) was born on 12 Aug 1762 (Ancestry, online www.ancestry.com, Gene Pool records 5 July 2000.). He married Betsey Thorne (7053). He died in 1840.

Children of Jonathan5 Sanborn (7052) and Betsey Thorne (7053) were:

Children of Bette5 Stevens (7428) and Nathan Conant Sr. (7429) were:
146. JOHN5 TIDD (9284) (Ebenezer4, Ebenezer3, Elizabeth2 Fifield, William1) was born on 28 Jun 1751 in Medford, Middlesex, Mass (Ibid., Line of descent from Michael Tidd, May 1996.). He married Rebecca Richardson (9321) on 24 Aug 1776 (Ibid.). He married Elizabeth Wilson (9285) on 27 Jun 1780 (Ibid.). He died on 11 Apr 1811 in Medford, Middlesex, Mass., at age 59 (Ibid.).
