My GGgrandmother was Delilah Ann Swafford--born May 11, 1827 in SC and died July 13, 1913 Atlanta,Cass, TX. My great grandfather was Nathaniel Green Gilley --born March 18, 1859 in Villa Rica GA Carroll county--died Aug 12, 1936 Terrell State Hospital in Terrell TX and is buried in Cass county TX. My great grandmother was Mattie Ruth Barlow. unk birthdate and unk death date. But they were married Oct 24, 1890. My grandmother was Dovie Lee Gilley born May 22, 1897 in Atlanta Tx (Cass county). death date unknown. She married a man by the name of either Marion Sherid Stout or Sherid Marion Stout on March 25, 1914 in Linden TX (Cass county). My mother was Martha Ruth Stout born Oct 24, 1924 in Three States TX. She died Feb 28, 1998 in Granbury TX. We have more info if interested and we have some photos...I would like to know how you are related to the Gilley's...Do you have photos? I am the Great Granddaughter of William Riley Gilley. I am the
Granddaughter of Henry Clay Gilley. I cannot find my mother on your list of
Henry's children. Am I overlooking her? She was the youngest daughter of
Henry Gilley. She is listed in the 1900 Cass Co., Texas census. Her name is
Jeanie Mae Gilley. She married Thomas Clarence Braswell and they had 8
children. One died at 14 months. I am Rebecca Braswell Maks. I feel as if my

Clay Gilley's children are gone. My mother died on July 23, 1992. She was
almost 93 years old.
